Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Chilled out quirky eco site with firewood for sale, animals and close to the canal go walk into Bude (a mile). 10 mins from Upton Beach with some great rock pooling and dramatic rocks and where you can jump on the south west coastal path.

Primitive grass tent campsite (large, six person)
Liked It's quiet, simple, back to nature feel. Candy is a fantastic host and has a menagerie of lovely animals on site too. The Eco showers are warm and the compost toilets are cleaned daily. You need to take your own toilet roll though! We have been coming here every year for about 5 years and love it. Lots of free field space for children to play and be free. Candy will contact you if bad weather occurs and she is worried about your tent i.e. if it gets very windy. Campfires are allowed and Candy sells wood at reasonable prices which you will need cash for. It is close to the Bude canal which you can walk along (cycling is not permitted) down to the sea and Bude town centre in about 20 -30 minutes. There is no Wifi but there is a main charging bank in the shower area where you can charge phones etc. This we have done many times and overnight quite safely. Candy will talk to anybody who plays music loud too late so you can be reassured if you have small children that need to go to sleep. Amazing view of the stars on clear nights. A lovely peaceful little back to nature campsite. I highly recommend.
