What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful, semi-wild escape with spacious, private pitches set amongst nature. Guests praise the lovely atmosphere, generous spacing, and the opportunity to pick fruit from on-site trees. Facilities include clean, hot showers and unique toilets. While most visitors found the site tranquil and well-maintained, a few noted issues with air traffic and vehicle access on narrower paths. The site is recommended for those seeking a back-to-nature experience.

small site, like wild camping but…
Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked small site, like wild camping but with a loo and shower.
Disliked the track was very bumpy and no where to turn around if you missed a good spot, so the washing up sink was too close to the mens loo

From the manager: Thank you for your review. I am glad you liked the site. The track is only a farm track but I shall endeavour to get the larger pot holes filled by next season. I shall also take on board your comment regarding the washing up sink. In an ideal world I would like a seperate camp kitchen, hopefully i will get there at some point in the future.
Kind regards

Liked What a beautiful site! Super friendly owner, great facilities including very clever showers and beautiful and clean flushing toilets. The site is very unique with lots of cute and very private areas. Really well looked after, was a joy to be in nature with great facilities. Hope we can come back next year. Best wishes Pete & Scouty

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We had a wonderful time here over the bank holiday weekend. Enjoyed the secluded pitches surrounded by wildlife and the fruit trees. There is a footpath leading directly from the campsite to the pub where we had a nice Sunday roast, and (in the other direction) to a local vineyard were we had coffee, cake and ice cream - a real bonus when staying in campervan and you don't want to pack everything up to drive off site.
Disliked Only minor dislike was no ventilation in the toilets!

From the manager: Thanks for your review! I am so glad you had a nice time. Next time try the cooked breakfast at the vineyard, its superb!
I shall look into installing fans in the toilets over the winter, thanks for your feedback.

Gorgeous setting, secluded pitches, wildlife haven... paradise!
Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked What an awesome place! If you like wild camping but also some comfort with nice loos & a hot shower - this is the place for you! A re-wilded orchard where you can wander among the fruit trees and find a secluded pitch to suit your needs - we found a perfect spot big enough for our large tent & event shelter with plenty of space for a campfire (in a supplied fire pit & you buy logs on site), surrounded by trees which were perfect for our hammocks. We saw deer and all sorts of other wildlife & the most beautiful dark starry sky.
Paul is really welcoming and we love his vision of letting people enjoy this special place surrounded by nature.
We parked up & went for a wander around the site for a good hour, to make sure we found them all before choosing the spot that suited us best!
Disliked Some of the ground is a bit bumpy, but fine if you have an air bed!

Liked Everything! Loved the nature reserve aspect of the land and the way the pitches are distributed. Feels like you’re out there on your own. Lovely relaxed vibe and very peaceful. Clean showers/loos etc. I love camping and this is one of the best sites I’ve ever found. Definitely will be returning many times! Paul is very approachable and helpful. Oh and the fruit forest is magical!!

The ablutions area is very clean and tidy.
Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I stayed here for one night with my five-year-old son, and it did not disappoint. It’s as close to true wild camping as you can get.
• Beautiful location
• Natural, untouched land
• Spacious, private pitches (no one right next to you)
• Complete peace and quiet
• Wild fruit to pick
• Campfires allowed
This is by far the best “back to nature” campsite I’ve visited. My son had the best time exploring—running through the woods, playing by the pond, and so much more.
Disliked None.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked So much space, we had our own area with no one around so was very relaxing - farmer was lovely and provided fire pits which made our stay even better
Disliked Was told to turn our music down at 7 even tho quiet time was after 9:30 and music wasn’t extremely loud anyway
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi Freya,
I'm very pleased you enjoyed your stay and I really hope to see you all again next time.
Apologies for being the grinch about the music, I try and keep the site quiet all the time and REALLY quiet after 9.30pm. Next time you come please let me know and I will find you a pitch further away from the neighbours. I am sure we can find a happy medium where you guys can enjoy yourselves and no one else will be affected.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The campsite here at peacocks farm was so peaceful and relaxing. I especially liked the way the pitches have been carved out in the meadow areas so you have your own private space. Also the fact that you can choose your own pitch, the land and the fruit trees are beautiful, toilets and showers spotlessly clean too. Thank you for a very relaxing break. Will be returning for sure.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.
