Would definitely return for another nature escape!
Tennis Wells primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by stunning scenery—perfect for walking, stargazing, and soaking up nature or just relaxing. One of the highlights was easy access to a beautiful lake, where we spent hours swimming and paddle boarding. It was the perfect way to cool off and enjoy the sunshine.
Great location, facilities were basic but functional, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to unplug for a bit.

Struttons primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely campsite in a beautiful setting, with a huge sunflower field behind us and great walks, perfect base to explore the South Downs.
It is a basic campsite which we like!
The portaloos were the nicest smelling I've ever used, always with toilet paper despite it being on a busy weekend. The person who runs the site is friendly, attentive and helpful. We would happily return!

A lovely back to basics camp site, well run by Lindsey & co
Struttons primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The quietness, the variety of birds, the reservoir. The portaloos were very clean and fresh smelling, everything was well signposted. I didn't use the showers but they were clean and ingenious. Campers were well spread out so you couldn't hear anyone else. I felt totally safe there and it was my first camping trip with a tailgate tent and going solo. Fresh drinking water available.
Disliked Nothing to dislike

The Roughs primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Idyllic spot. Each field had its own vibe and as long as you expect what the description tells you, it’s a gorgeous experience of fields, trees, fairy lights, fire pits, wonky grass pitches, bucket showers and regularly cleaned portaloos. I’d return on a sunny weekend.
Disliked Disappointed by the small reservoir with very muddy clay banks and bed. I had envisaged a full weekend of watersports so we went to the beach instead at Bracklesham Bay

From the manager: Hi Pippa, thank you for your review, really lovely comments.
It's impossible to gauge what the weather will do. Last year the reservoirs were barely used for irrigation as it was a wet spring/summer, this year a different story. We do have another reservoir you could have used, its about 15 feet deep, sorry you drove to Bracklesham Bay for water fun :)
