  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

A friendly, well-kept campsite by the Thames, loved for spacious spots & clean facilities. Helpful staff. Great for families with a central playground & nearby attractions. Some mention aircraft noise & occasional peak-time cleanliness issues. Parking is separate.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked Greeting staff. Layout. Atmosphere. Facilities. Cleanliness. Pitch sizes. Children play areas. Lovely view of the Thames River with beautiful established willow, horse chestnut etc trees. Boats travelling along the river. Really lovely peaceful site. Car all packed up, feeling recharged and not wanting to leave, my car didnt start. The warden, his lovely older gentleman friend got my car up and running and refused to even accept a gift from me for helping a damsel in distress. I cant praise this camp enough. Thank you again.

Disliked Didn't find any gift shop to buy gifts to take home. Small sacrifice and saved my money. Result lol

Power optional grass campsite

Liked The site was basic, but clean and quiet (except for the planes overhead) the pitch was plenty big enough and the chap running the place was very helpful. The facilities were clean, the shower was lovely and the water points were plentiful. It is so close to the Thames that you can see the river as soon as you leave for the day and as a keen angler I will definitely come again as the fishing is free and there are plenty of places

Power optional grass campsite

Liked The size of the pitches are good, showers and toilets are on relatively good condition. The location near the park and the river is fantastic. We had a problem with our ehu but the guys on site were brilliant and sorted it within minutes.

Disliked The play equipment is a bit out dated and not really toddler friendly. But the play park is right outside the campsite. So not really a problem.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked Friendly welcome. Very clean and tidy showers, washroom. Overall the site is well maintained and friendly. Great location.

Disliked Having to wear wrist bands for the duration of the stay.
Gates being locked at 8pm seemed weird. We had no plans to go out but have done on other sites so would have been hard.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked This is a basic campsite but it has a great location near the River Thames. It manages to feel out of the way but you can walk in about 15 mins to a shop/pubs. We had a great pitch and were given a warm welcome. The car park wasn't too far for us to store things in the car separately. Lots of water taps and a small playground area for kids (which is great to have). We'll definitely return as it met our needs for a weekend trip to get away from it all.

Disliked Would have loved a proper shop or cafe to buy supplies (coffee too far away!). The women's toilet block wasn't cleaned frequently enough when we were there - several dirty/blocked toilets and no toilet paper in some. Would be great if logs were allowed to be burnt on bbqs. The children's play area could be tidied up / made better to really make the most of having it!
