Brilliant place
Primitive grass campsite
Liked: We had a fantastic weekend! My dad stayed 2 nights in his campervan, I stayed 1 night in a tent with 2 kids and my sister stayed 1 night in a tent with her husband and 2 kids.
The river access is absolutely brilliant! It is sheltered and perfect for paddle boarding. We had so much fun jumping, swimming and boating!
There were plenty of toilets and it was a busy but relaxing and nice atmosphere. We made friends and shared our boats. We borrowed a little fire pit.
The site is secure and safe. There's a little play area for kids in the trees and a washing up station. There's also 2 sheep! It's nothing too flashy but its absolutely brilliant!
Disliked: Nothing

Highly recommend this campsite and we’ll DEFINITELY be back!
Primitive grass and earth campsite (riverside)
Liked: The spacious pitches right by the river were perfect! And fire pits allowed made our nights even more enjoyable! Such a beautiful site, really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of toilets and drinking water access, the only downfall was no shower facilities, but for just a weekend stay it was fantastic! Clare and her team were amazing, made our stay perfect, thank you so much!
Disliked: Lack of shower hence 9 stars

Primitive grass and earth campsite (riverside)
Liked: We stayed at this campsite over the Summer Solstice weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Despite it being a busy time of year, the site never felt overcrowded. There was plenty of space between pitches, and the overall layout really allowed everyone to enjoy their stay without feeling cramped.
We were lucky enough to have a riverside pitch, which was absolutely lovely. The river brought a constant stream of gentle activity throughout the weekend—kayakers, paddle boarders, and the peaceful sound of water made it feel like a mini retreat in nature.
The facilities were in fantastic condition—clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. It really added to the comfort of the stay.
And with the weather turning up the heat, it was the perfect way to spend a scorcher of a weekend. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely site, what the site offered was great for us. Will defo revisit
Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Lovely space, playground in middle of field so can see kids all the time, they were able to be free. Lake very calming, was able to have a fire at night, despite the weather it did not stop us from enjoying a couple of nights away, that’s what camping is all about, the different experiences, memories and being outdoors. We all loved it especially our son and dog lol.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Fantastic site lovely owners couldn't have been more helpful, clean
Primitive grass and earth campsite (riverside)
Liked: Absolutely everything about this site is good
Lovely clean toilets, nice big pitches so plenty of room to spread out fantastic for countryside walks or hop on a train and go further afield .
Disliked: A little bit of demarcation on the riverside pitches we had a fishing swim on our pitch and the people next to us just kept moving thier stuff over onto it and had faced the tent on the boundary line looking straight at us ,also charging extra for children would make it very expensive ,maybe 2 children could be included in the pitch fee as no showers or electric on site
