What customers say
Charming spot with friendly staff and great atmosphere. Clean facilities, handy shop, and pizza. Kids' activities a hit. Spacious, private pitches. Some found it crowded with noise issues, and noted limited toilet stalls and occasional shop stock problems.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked We find this campsite ok. Lovely staff always helpful. Clean facilities. (Could do with a shelf in the showers though) we only stayed a few days and was a shame the archery 🏹 was cancelled 😕 and also we run out of sugar and they didn't stock sugar in the shop so could have a cuppa 😢
But we had a lovely walk around with our dog in the wood around the campsite.
Thank you

Wonderful, clean, well run, family site.
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Such a wonderful camp site. Grass sites separated nicely and plenty of place for the kids to all play in view of tents.
Shop had all that was needed really, chance to hire a firepit which was easy and a very well needed coffee machine. Loved the pizza and gin cocktails. Toilets very much attempted to keep clean. Owner and all staff friendly and helpful. We will be back.
Disliked Really only saying these as a chance to improve. The movie night for kids was lovely but the movie choice was an old unknown film so kids got bored.
The toys for the kids were amazing but all a bit used and old, missing pieces. Perhaps these could have an upgrade.

Very relaxing and spacious site for families, firepits and stargazing
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Good sized pitches and space between them. Cars not on pitches (wheelbarrows to move gear from car park). Clean facilities and friendly shop / team.
Disliked Smell of drains/sewage from the facilities block - presume a temporary problem and we were in a pitch close by.

Great location and facilities, but it felt crowded.
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked The shop and showers were handy! Location was fab.
Disliked The number of people who were camping - felt very crowded.
Also not everyone followed the quiet by 10.30 rule. Some children were running between tents (Knocking lines) at 9.30pm at night when we were trying to get our child to bed. I'm all for children having fun, but try not to invade others space and scream constantly, especially at night.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked clean facilities (upon arrival at least)
Disliked About anything else. The noise (radio sports news, screaming children till 11 pm), parents emptiing pots with the pee of their children in the grass between the pitches (how disgusting), felt like in a crazy Disney Land. NOT suitable for couples, NOT suitable for campervans, crazily expensive for not even offering waste water disposal and chemical toilet. Fled after 1 night, had paid for 2, had never got a response if I could cancel the 2nd night. Poor service, incompetent and stressed out personnel.

From the manager: Dear Sabine,
Thank you for your review although we are disappointed you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are unashamedly family focussed and make this very clear on the website and marketing material. You obviously booked by mistake which we could have sorted out on arrival if you had asked. The staff had told us you had left but you had not made them aware of your other complaints, which are much better resolved face to face.
We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay but are grateful you recognised the cleanliness of our facilities and our family friendly focus.
Best wishes
Aly

Breakfast tent and early evening bar
Very confident location for Margate, Richborough, Walmer etc.
Clean toilet facilities
We got lucky in that the adjacent pitch to ours was not occupied, which gave us more privacy than we would otherwise have had
Disliked It would have been useful to have had the shop fully stocked with meat such as sausages and burgers etc. These had run out by the time we arrived. I am sure they would have no problems selling these if they ensured a ready supply.
I always think there are never enough toilet cubicles on these places. There seemed to be 3x men’s and 3x women’s which doesn’t give much resilience.

From the manager: Hi! Thank you for the review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the location of our site, our friendly team and what we had to offer here at Fallow Fields!
We also appreciate your constructive comments and can only apologise that we had run out of fresh meat; demand is high, however we will definitely review how to keep the stock up during busy times. Regarding the toilets, we have 4 women’s cubicles, 3 men’s cubicles plus a urinal, and a family restroom. The recommended ratio of toilets to pitches is 1:30. Here at Fallow Fields we have a ratio of 1:15 pitches which is twice the recommendation. We do understand that these can feel busier during peak times.
