What customers say
Setthorns offers a peaceful, back-to-nature experience in a beautiful New Forest woodland setting. Guests rave about spacious, well-spaced sites, friendly staff, and abundant wildlife. Direct access to walking/cycling trails is a major highlight. While basic (no restrooms/showers), many enjoy the quiet, secluded atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing getaway. Patchy phone signal & potential mud are minor points, but satisfaction is very high.

Primitive cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked This was our second time staying at Setthorns Campsite and we loved it just as much as the first. Each pitch is very spacious and set in the woods. It’s so peaceful and quiet. There are lovely walks from the site, and only about 30 mins walk into Sway. Staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend

A wonderful campsite which we will most definitely be returning to!
Select powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked What lovely staff! I couldn't have been more pleased with how friendly the staff were. They made us feel really welcome. Thank you!
The woods were beautiful and so peaceful. I enjoyed my cup of tea watching the birds in the trees. There was a wild pony in the woods at one point which was magical. What a wonderful place to reconnect with nature.
Disliked Barely any phone signal, and no internet at all, but I think this may be the point. I thought this was wonderful, but the kids initially were a bit grumpy with being "unplugged". Just more something to be aware of as in the evening if you have kids you might want to pack a DVD player or something.
The ground is hard so make sure you have decent pegs as your awning won't peg in otherwise. Again, both things that aren't a major issue, just something to be aware of so you can pack appropriately.
