What customers say
Woodland setting with space, choose your own spot. Clean facilities, helpful staff, and free-roaming ponies! Great for walks, cycling, and Brockenhurst access. Minor notes: road noise, peak crowds, dated showers. Highly recommended, guests plan to return.

Excellent site with clean facilities, friendly staff & many pitches.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Loved this campsite. It’s within a beautiful area and a little village within walking distance. Lots of very clean amenities. Absolutely brilliant if you have kids. Very large site but many little places to hide away and lovely site for dog walking. Friendly staff. I paid extra for a two hour Twilight Walk which I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the trees, deer, horses and bats while walking around the woods and moors. Would recommend and will definitely stay again.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Is an amazing site, really feels like you are in the forest, very friendly and helpful staff, had ponies walking through, loads of walks in the forest and bike trails, was a brilliant holiday thank you. 😊
Disliked Road was a bit noisy on a night, would camp on the other side of the camp next time and you couldn't get near the charging points for your phone, we're full everytime we checked, could do would alot more for the size of the camp.

Good site ruined by too many rules and a grumpy jobsworth
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Location great - easy access to forest direct from site, facilities good and lovely local area.
Disliked Grumpy jobsworth rule enforcer running the place, no washing lines (not even strung between tent and car), no bikes leaning on trees, etc - the list goes on. Pitch included pup tent but was told I couldn't use it cos they are for kids only, couldn't pay for another pitch even though there was loads of space next to our van (cos they need to be 6m apart) and there no designated pitches. Was told I could use it as a storage tent next to the van, but nobody could sleep in it. Daft. Site would also be a mudbath in wet weather, fortunately we've had a long dry spell.

Lovely memories !
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Location, customer service, cleanliness
Disliked Not disliked, but could do with more charging towers for those with battered old cars that rely on sat nav on the phone 😂

Primitive grass campsite
Liked This is a very easy accessible. The staff are amazing it is a site with plenty of shade if that is what you prefer. Dog friendly with plenty of beautiful walks. A very relaxing site, but it was so nice to see families having fun. Staff always on hand and facilities are extremely clean.

Excellent site in the middle of the forest
Primitive grass campsite
Liked This is a beautiful site in the midst of the New Forest and you are literally surrounded by nature. The ponies amble past in the early morning and cows came by in the evening. It’s great to be able to choose your own pitch but despite the informality everything was very well run. Showers and toilets clean and plentiful for the large site. Great for cycling and walking or just sitting around under the trees.
We would return.

My favourite campsite in the New Forest!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked I’ve always loved Hollands Wood. I’ve been coming here for over 30 years, and it’s still my favourite campsite. Great location (right by Brockenhurst and by a river for my children to play in), great facilities, loads of space (even when fully booked, it wasn’t a squeeze!), and very friendly staff. The new coffee/ice cream shop is a great addition!
Disliked The ground can be a bit tough to break through with normal pegs (worth buying rock breakers). Obviously this isn’t the fault of the campsite, and certainly wouldn’t put me off returning.
