Lovely and peaceful in a great setting
Primitive gravel RV campsite
Liked Lovely quiet place right on the estuary front. Nice, flat space with plenty of room. Toilet facilities were great and well maintained. Location fantastic, very peaceful and right on the coastal path so great for long walks. We walked to Silecroft along the beach, quite a long walk but we'll worth it then you can get the train back which is only 5 minutes then a shortish walk from Millom station. We were blessed with excellent weather over a 2 night Fri-Sun stay. Also, Internet signal was really good, no wifi but managed to watch sports on TV with no buffering or signal drop. Overall, fabulous.
Disliked Guests who arrived late Saturday with two noisy dogs barking and they put off a quieter couple with a small dog who moved away. Not cause for complaint, we've stayed on a few sites with unruly kids and lazy parents.

Primitive gravel RV campsite
Liked We had a wonderful stay at Estuary View Escapes. It’s a lovely small site – peaceful, quiet, and with absolutely stunning views across the estuary. The location couldn’t be better: just a five-minute stroll takes you onto a golden sandy beach, and there are plenty of great walks nearby which our dogs loved.
Practical things were spot on too: mobile phone signal and TV reception were excellent, which isn’t always guaranteed in more remote spots. The site doesn’t offer WiFi, but honestly, that just added to the relaxing atmosphere.
I have to mention the facilities – don’t be put off by the idea of portaloos. They were by far the cleanest and best-maintained I’ve ever come across, checked regularly and always in great condition.
What really stood out though were the hosts, Louise and Lea. They were so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made the stay all the more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with fabulous hosts and the beach on your doorstep, Estuary View Escapes is a hidden gem. We’ll definitely be back!

Liked Fab peaceful site. Great views, quiet place, friendly helpful host. Lots of walks and beach close by. We walked to local pub 'The Devon ' which was maybe 10 mins away and enjoyed few drinks in beer garden with our dog.

Primitive gravel RV campsite
Liked Outstanding view, walking from site, wading birds on the estuary and friendly and helpful owners. Especially enjoyed the ice cream they brought to us on our final rather hot day.
Disliked Smell from the portaloo which occasionally wafted our way.

Sorry about that unfortunately that would be due to the extremely hot weather we were having, the toilets are always immaculately clean
