What customers say
A tidy, peaceful riverside site in a scenic locale, perfect for exploring the Western Lakes. Spacious pitches, clean but slightly dated facilities (showers cost 50p). Staff are very friendly. Nearby pub offers good food, dog-friendly. Wi-Fi/cell signal can be spotty. Most guests loved it and want to return.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely location, easy check in and good shower facilities.
Disliked Campsite could do more to monitor dogs off lead, we had a long line for ours but other people’s dogs were coming over into our pitch. WiFi at our pitch was poor.

Beautifull site & surroundings, good facilities
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Beautifull site at a nice little stream (although it turned out we set up our tent at the wrong pitch: we accidentely stood at a campervan-pitch). Pub 5 minutes walk. Very nice hikes starting at the campsite. Good and clean facilities, e.g. a fridge and a freezer for the non-electrics.
Disliked Little papers with messages hung everywhere. Rather confusing.

Disliked Lost power overnight on first night (whole campsite)

FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked Beautiful location. Good size pitches. Nice pub and tea rooms close by. Wardens very friendly and helpful.
Disliked Poor phone signal (not the parks fault). Wifi didn't work. TV point on pitch didn't work. It's difficult to give an accurate review as by what I can make out the previous tenants had let the site run down. The new couple seem very enthusiastic and keen to improve things, but it will take time. Will definitely go back again probably next year when hopefully things will be different. The place has loads of potential.
