What customers say
Highly recommended, peaceful, remote campsite with beautiful countryside. Guests praise immaculate grounds, well-kept grass pitches, and dark skies. Warden John gets rave reviews for being friendly and helpful. Basic facilities suit self-sufficient units. Remote access and few amenities are minor points, as expected.

Worth the drive.
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Quiet, small, and fairly remote, reasonable price, lovely warden, but sadly this site is closing next year, or I would have become a regular visitor. The drive to get there from my home in Cumbria was spectacular: made the journey totally worthwhile.
Disliked The fact that it's closing! No facilities except EHU, but as a self-contained unit that suited me very well, might not suit everyone though.

Liked Peaceful, small site perfect for self-sufficient units, no facilities on site.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, beautiful dark sky site. The warden is lovely: helpful, polite and funny.
Will try to go again before it, sadly, closes at the end of October.

From the manager: As described my caravan site states no toilets or showers so I can’t see how it’s a problem.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely quiet campsite on a farm surrounded by open countryside.
The manager was friendly and welcoming.
Good location for visiting Wallington and Belsay, and not far from the Northumberland coast.
No toilet facilities or wi-fi, but we had everything we needed - EHU, water, chemical disposal
Disliked Nothing

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Very quiet rural location fantastic skies and a lovely moon whilst we were visiting. John the warden was very friendly and helpful. Very relaxed and peaceful site. John’s dog Tilley deserves a special mention as she was very friendly and loving.
Facilities were only basic but just what we wanted. No showers or toilet facilities here but drinking water, EHU and waste water and toilet disposal available.
Highly recommended.
Also very close to NT Wallington Hall which is a top destination with a wonderful house and grounds - but make sure you budget plenty of time to get the best out of it.
Disliked Nothing really.
