Wow a fantastic site!!
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked EVERYTHING!
One of the best campsites if not THE BEST campsite we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at many. Beautiful well kept camp site. It had everything that you would need. Great TV reception and WiFi.
Spotless facilities with adjustable shower, quiet site, well stocked shop, vending machines, microwave and kettle.
A bonus was a lovely array of cute animals to see. You can see that the owners take great pride in their site. The price was reasonable but I would have happily paid more! 😉
Disliked Absolutely nothing!

Not dog friendly. I would never recommend this place.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The scenery was stunning. The facilities were satisfactory. The pitches were level. The site itself was charmless.
Disliked It is not dog friendly - it is dog hostile - dogs must be kept on leads at all times and if you let them off even for a moment they will throw you off the site.
We had been out from 10am till 745pm on our second night and I had just fed my dogs and was trying to set up our beds in the van and two employees shouted at me for the dogs being off the leads. I couldn’t keep them in the vw van while I was trying to sort the beds and there was nowhere to tie them to. They accused me of having the dogs loose all day - we hadn’t even been there. The previous evening we were told off for arriving 5 minutes after 6pm - we had been stuck in traffic and I had already told them this. We were out and about for 2 hours before settling to sleep. I have stayed at lots of sites in the past and never been the recipient of such unpleasantness. There is a small dog walking area which is ok but not sufficient for taking my well trained border collies for a walk. (We walked them elsewhere). After this harassment the owner asked us to leave - at 2015 - we had only been there 30 minutes. They claimed health and safety issues and rules. There were no children on the site that we saw and certainly most people seemed to stay in their vans. There were two campers who had a fire pit near our van and the smoke went straight into our van and we had to close all the windows and doors the first night. Fires are allowed - even if they smoke the neighbours out. It is well known that wood smoke causes cancer and I do not wish to breathe it in.
We were made to leave the site at 830pm with nowhere to go. They gave me a list of local sites but at that time it was impossible to find anywhere. We were tired and I was obliged to park in a motorway services overnight as I was too tired to drive. We were fined £60 for parking overnight. We were not reimbursed our second night. I think to make two elderly (over 70) women leave at that time of night with nowhere to go was horrible. We were very upset and still are.

From the manager: We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience, but we feel it’s important to provide some context. Our site is very much dog-friendly, we have a secure dog exercise field, a dog wash area, complimentary treats, a dog walk and waste bags available free for all guests.
However, we do ask that dogs are kept under control around the site for the safety and comfort of all visitors, not everybody likes dogs, some dogs don’t want other dogs entering their pitches and some children are understandably nervous around them.
During your stay, your dogs were repeatedly seen roaming freely around the site, entering other guests’ pitches, and even fouling on them. They were also washed in the toilet block showers, leaving the facilities in an unacceptable state, despite us having a dog wash no more than 10 meters away. Dog waste was disposed of in a surface water drain, which is obviously not permitted and had to be removed by our team, despite us having 4 dog waste bins near your pitch. On one occasion, your dogs were off lead and almost caused an accident with a vehicle.
We received several complaints from other guests, including those with children, about the situation. Despite multiple discussions from our team, the issues continued. At that point, we had no reasonable option but to ask you to leave, in line with our site rules and our duty of care to all visitors. We provided you with details of alternative sites nearby to help you find accommodation that evening.
We understand this was upsetting, but you have a responsibility to control your dogs and we have a responsibility to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for everyone. You had polite fair warning. The decision was not taken lightly and is not one we have had to make before but we stand by it.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Everything.
My dog got a little treat bag when we arrived with biscuits in which I thought was sweet.
The pitches are a great size with hedges inbetween so they were nice and private.
The park for a small site is really good for the kids and the playing field.
The enclosed dog field was great aswell as the dog walk.
Toilet and showers were so clean with a free to use hairdryer and I’ve never seen so many baths 😂 my kids were in one each which they thought was great.
Dog shower room.
A room with vending machines, kettle, tables and chairs and activities files etc.
staff were so friendly and the little shop I reception was a good touch.
Animals dotted about in the fields.
Honestly it had everything you needed.
