What customers say
This well-kept, quiet, and friendly site gets rave reviews for its spotless facilities, including hot showers. Pitches are mostly spacious and level, with helpful extras like dog washes and secure bike storage. Conveniently located for Beverley and local shops, with lovely countryside walks. Some guests noted wind on open pitches and few shower hooks.

Very enjoyable stay at a well equipped and friendly campsite.
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Our first time at Butt Farm Camp Site and we really enjoyed it. The booking process was easy and the information before our stay very helpful. On arrival we were given a warm personal welcome and information outlining the facilities. These were good and clean. We made use and enjoyed the provided fire pits. The fuel for this was all packaged up and lasted us for two nights. We were also tempted by the barbecue but decided on fish and chips in the nearby Beverly instead. The size of the pitches is ample for anything but the most humongous tents. We visited with a toddler, who enjoyed the generous space to run around and explore. Overall we had a very enjoyable time and are very inclined to return.

Great facilities, with very helpful hosts.

Liked What a lovely site, set on a farm, just 1.5 miles from the centre of Beverley. Very quiet and peaceful with plenty of room on the pitches. Great dog walk near by and half an hours walk to Walkington with some lovely pubs.
Disliked Nothing

Powered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Absolutely everything a campsite should be … warm welcome and present owners , clean facilities, bbqs to rent , big flat pitches and loads of space for children to play…
Disliked Only stayed one night as passing through

From the manager: Thank you Linda for your lovely review. It is great when past guests leave a review that future guests can read and try and get a feel of our campsite from. One night is definitely not long enough to do the area justice as there is just so much to see and do in the area. We hope that you will consider returning to the Beverley area and that you choose us again for your place to stay. Best wishes from us all at Butt Farm.
Lovely family orientated site. Friendly family run.

Liked Location. Short walk down to supermarket . 20 mins walk to bus stop into Beverley ( great for us after knee replacements) only £8 taxi back on an evening. Nice woodland walk from site to next village.

From the manager: Hi Diane - many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and found the walks around the camp site. Although located well for Beverley we are definitely countryside. I hope we can welcome you back in the near future. Best wishes from us all at Butt Farm.
This is a lovely little site…
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked This is a lovely little site on a safe working farm with a good mix of level pitches for vans and tents. Clean facilities cleverly housed in old farm buildings. It is very suitable for people of all ages, including families with children.
Apart from lights at the facilities block, there are no other lights which means it is peacefully dark at night.
Close to Beverley, accessible on bike or by buses from nearby stops.
Disliked Only small disadvantage is there are no shops or pubs close by, so a vehicle trip is necessary. On the other hand, this can avoid expensive meals out, good for families working to a budget.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Our nearest shop is Morrison's Supermarket which is a 10 minute walk from the camp site - close enough to easily walk to but far enough to deter un-necessary expenses as you said. Many thanks again and Best Wishes from us all at Butt Farm.
Great size pitch. The site isn't…
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Great size pitch. The site isn't too big that you're far away from the utilities. Kettle in the utility is a nice touch for making speedy cuppas. Plenty of water taps around the site.
The site was occupied by old and young. Noise is kept to a minimum for a peaceful weekend stay.
The site is clean and well maintained. Everything you need.
We chose to stay here due to the proximity of Beverley Westwood parkrun which is a short drive away. Close to Morrisons for supplies.
Excellent communication in advance and on the day to notify us of roadworks. Clear instructions for the pitch on arrival.
Fresh eggs for £2 a box and PYO sunflowers available on the Sunday.
Excellent value. Would definitely stay again.
Disliked The toilet cubicles are on the narrow side, wouldn't suit everyone. We would have liked to have brought our own firepit and wood, the rental price for fire pits is on the high side which put us off.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind review and your lovely photos.
Our bathrooms are within disused farm buildings so can therefore only be a certain size.
There is one larger shower in each bathroom with a stool which is easily accessible for all. We hope you found them clean at all times 🙌
Firepits - unfortunately we have allowed people to use their own before however we have ended up with burnt grass and plastics / wet wood being burnt which has caused high levels of smoke on the site so have had to ban the use of these.
We only use good quality dry wood which does not smoke and the box will last an evening.
Thanks again
Lovely site but avoid at leaving at sunflower opening times
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Showers lovely and hot, toilets clean. Excellent recycling point. Lovely quiet pitch. Nice to see the goats and chickens.
Disliked Shower drainage poor in ladies, was like a swimming pool by time I'd finished. Took ages to drain away and lots of squeegeeing.
Lane to site is quite long and busy. Got stuck a number of times leaving as sunflower field opening day and lots of cars and a taxi trying to get in. Timing of sunflowers opening would be better for after check out of site to ease congestion.

From the manager: Hi Klare
Thanks so much for your kind review
On arrival all our guests are given a welcome note which has our contact number on for guests to contact us if they have anything they require whilst on site…..
Showers - the filters are cleared regularly and if they were blocked when you were here all you needed to do was let us know and we would have unblocked them…
We text everyone the morning of the sunflower opening and you asked re the traffic - I let you know that if need be we would stop the traffic for you so unsure as to why you didn’t ask us to do this… We were in reception from 11am-4pm…check out is by 12pm
It is a single track to the campsite however there are plenty of passing places.
Overall, very good

Liked Our stay at Butt Farm Campsite was fantastic. We were impressed by the efficient and well-organized check-in process. The facilities were lovely and clean, and we really enjoyed hiring a fire pit and log starter pack, which was a great addition to our trip
Disliked "While the facilities were clean, we found the shower drainage to be an issue. The water was very slow to go down, so we had to use the squeegee to clear it out, which took some time
