  • Laidback adults-only site on a Suffolk smallholding near Bungay
  • A 15-minute drive to Beccles for boat hire; 25 minutes to Southwold
  • Fishing lake and hot tub on site; dogs welcome
A farm with fishing on site? How fabulous. And even better when you hear there’s a hot tub too… All of this is at The Cider Farm Fishery, an adults-only site on a Suffolk smallholding about 10 minutes’ drive from Bungay. It’s a place that’s filled with plants and farm animals, so it’s got a real rural vibe to it – but it’s also well situated for getting out to see some of the local area. Where might your local outings take you? Well, perhaps to the coast for a seaside day in Southwold, or into the Broads National Park for a day of boating, canoeing, walking or cycling through the splendid watery landscapes. You could visit a castle, tour a vineyard, see vintage planes, ride rollercoasters, go for a swim… it’s all up to you really. Then again, you may well opt just to stick around on site for a relaxing few hours at the fishing lake – it’s free for guests to use on a catch-and-release basis as long as they’ve got the right licence. And of course there’s also the option of taking a good long soak in the hot tub – heated to a toasty 38º and with a lovely view over the lake. Life on site is nice and laidback with dogs, barbecues, off-ground firepits, awnings, gazebos and the like all permitted to make life comfortable. There are also portable toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point for guests to use, and the site is overseen by a friendly host who’s always happy to offer any advice or help guests may need.

Power optional grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Lovely site for our weekend getaway. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Beautiful little lake with different size fish to catch. The hot tub in the evening was amazing and the views made it even better. Toilet and shower was always clean and stocked. Plenty of trees for shade if you wish to hide out of the sun and the staff even sorted us a fire pit and coal so we could have a evening fire with s'mores. I can not fault this site at all and will be visiting here again.

From the manager: Hello, thank you for taking the time to review our campsite.

We noticed you marked us a half on child friendliness and WiFi. We are an adult only site and we do not offer WiFi. This is all clear on our listing. If you could be kind enough to edit that to "no rating" so it dosent affect the overall rating we would really appricate it.

We are sorry to hear you encountered a small amount of traffic noise, the farm campsite is situated in a rural village and speeding mororbikes and cars are really out of our control. They shouldnt be doing more than 30mph. Whilst we appricate your review could you please reconsider how the comments are detrimental to our little buisness.

Thank you for your comments on our showering cubicle, we understand your personal situation with, not being able to store your cloths and belongings in the shower with you are not ideal. Most campers will generally have a dryrobe or dressing gown for the shower run. I urge you to consider that you are camping and that our facilities are cleaned 3 or more times a day. Again these comments while are your opinion they do hurt us as a buisness.

Thank you so much for your feedback and indeed for choosing to spend time with us here at the cider farm. We genuinely really do appriciate your custome and hope you can return and give us a chance to improve for you. Many thanks luke and family.
