  • Well-maintained site with excellent facilities
  • A few miles from the Norfolk coast
  • Sixteen luxury bathrooms on site with individual showers and loos
Have you ever been to the Norfolk coast? Pine-ing to return or to see it for the first time? Come and stay at Pine Cones Caravan and Camping, near King's Lynn inland and Heacham and Hunstanton on the coastline – this is such a royally good region that King Charles and his cohorts have a pad at Sandringham just a mile away. If the king were camping, it's a fairly safe bet he would like the up to date and excellently kept amenities at Pine Cones too: 16 warm luxury bathrooms, all with their own shower, toilets, basin and storage racks; a roomy, indoors washing-up area with several sinks and plenty of drainer space; and a washing machine and dryer in a separate room to sort out the laundry. Once the essentials are sorted, send the kids off to the adventure playground to try out the treehouse, rope ladders and high level walkway, and settle down in the picnic area with coffee and eats… there's a coffee machine on site and the well-stocked shop sells a good selection of items including bread, milk, and fresh and frozen food. A selection of outdoor gym equipment is also available for the energetic holidaymaker. Off site, Pine Cones is about a mile from the nearest pub the Feathers, or trot off to award-winning the Coach and Horses. Both are in nearby Dersingham village, where there's also a supermarket, takeaway and coffee shop dishing up homemade cakes daily.

What customers say

Well-kept, clean site with great staff & facilities, especially private heated showers. Spacious pitches, very dog-friendly with nearby walks (inc. Sandringham). Some road/WiFi noise, but mostly peaceful & relaxing. Many guests plan to return.

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand campsite (small)

Liked Staff were amazing, bar was great had games to play at the table, shower/toilets clean and loved that the radio was playing too and they had a quiet one for those who dont like the music aswell as a designated baby change unit in one also. Everyone friendly and happy to help if needed. Loved the printed walks for you to take away and look at to plan some trips and the menus for the takeaway on site or info on getting deliveries on site.

Nothing was too much to ask and their knowledge on the area was great and helpful when we had a rainy day and needed to change plans last minute.

Amazing wildlife seen in the adjacent field - deer, pigeons, pheasants, rabbits.

The WiFi was an added bonus to check in an evening.

When checking out we rebooked again :)

Disliked Only downfall that I fed back was needed a couple of sensor lights on walk from tent camp to toilet (only a short walk) but with guide wires and tents pitched cud be hard to see so take a torch

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand campsite (small)

Liked Well what a lovely stay we had with our friends at your Norfolk retreat, we camped in Sandy Acres with ample space in the corner plot and next door. The weather was on our side til the day we were packing away but that didn’t dampen our spirits as we had the best time exploring the local beaches, Holkham (and estate) and Wells next to Sea we’re amazing and of course not forgetting a lovely dog walk to Sandringham across the road, half hour away. The walking guides were a great help provided to us on arrival and used them for other walks with the dogs to The Coach & Horses which served the best roast dinner ever!!

Your facilities were great and we loved a little boogie whilst showering in the morning with the radio playing in each shower cubical, a nice little touch!

The only thing we can think of as everything else was adequately provided was a bigger closed off dog area to let them run off lead, otherwise perfect!!

We will definitely be recommending you to friends and relatives and hope to come back again soon!

Thanks Pincones it’s been fun!

Liked I was a lovely site.loved the walks with our 2 dogs lovely location

Disliked The site had a policy saying low noise at 9.15 and no noise after I think it was 10
But the start of our holiday for the first 3 nights out of our 6 we had children running around screaming after both the times,
There was noise most nights on our 5th night people where laughing gone 11.30+
The only ight it was quite was on our 6 night
We took our wi d breakers down on our 5th day with us having 3 dogs to give them a area.then we had children running around our caravan and car we had to tell them to go away.people took their dog into the toilet and the washing up area .we were told they were lt lowed in these areas.so people were not abiding by the rules.which is not right

Pine Views FHU grass and gravel campsite

Liked Plenty of room on a level pitch, fully serviced with a picnic bench included. Toilets and showers are as good as any, hot water, clean, private, good music (Greatest Hits Radio 😁). Felt secure on site with easy access and good directions. We were given laminated sheets of maps for walks and rides from the site, brilliant. There is a bar and food onsite though we didn’t use either. Good tv signal, good WiFi. Beautiful part of Norfolk.

Disliked There is some traffic noise from the nearby road, didn’t bother us but don’t expect total silence.

Local attractions

Beaches, historic houses, museums and festivals, tiny villages, market towns and fab family days out are all easily accessible from Pine Cones Caravan and Camping – after a day at Sandringham, but of course, to wave at the king first... Within a couple of miles, the deer safaris, farming activities and walking trails of Snettisham Deer Park and the sights and smells of Norfolk Lavender are both good options for a day out; Snettisham has an RSPB reserve too for those itching to twitch. But as you're probably in west/north Norfolk for the beaches, head to Heacham, Holkham and Hunstanton first, the closest sands to Pine Cones, and then take a trip to Brancaster 11 miles away; the family-friendly and very scenic sands of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundsley are a little further along the coast. (Also, the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love were filmed at Holkham, and all the beaches in these parts are fairly filmworthy, so bring your camera.) Other excellent options for days out include village hopping and shopping among the scenic sights of Dersingham, Holt, Fakenham, Aylsham and Burnham Market to pick up some local produce, or going along to one of Norfolk's festivals or events: there's usually something going on throughout the year. Pine Cones is also on the edge the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – bring walking boots, crabbing nets and plenty of room for picnics.
