However, we're genuinely sorry to learn that our facilities did not meet your expectations and that you felt there was not much interest from the person running the site. This is certainly not the impression we want to give, as guest satisfaction is very important to us. We also regret that you felt your stay was overpriced.
We take all feedback seriously as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We understand from your comments that you would not return, but we still appreciate you bringing these points to our attention.

A slightly disappointing stay but booked last minute & close to beach
Primitive grass tent campsite (small)
Liked Good location for short walk to beach, able to park car quite near tent.. Nearby shop.
Disliked Facilities were neglected- toilet roll dispenser was broken and fell on me while on the loo! Some taps didn’t work, no soap, one shower didn’t lock. Another guest complained they were charged double only at the end of their stay as they were leaving for their tent being slightly oversized - this seemed a bit unfair. Allocated tent pitch next to road.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback following your stay. We're glad to hear you liked our location for its short walk to the beach and the convenience of parking near your tent and the nearby shop.
We are, however, genuinely sorry to learn about the issues you experienced with our facilities. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the broken toilet roll dispenser, the non-working taps, the lack of soap, and the shower that didn't lock. This is certainly not the standard we aim for, and we are addressing these maintenance issues with our team immediately to ensure they are rectified. Your comfort and safety are paramount, and we clearly fell short here.
Regarding the tent pitch next to the road, we understand this isn't ideal for everyone, and we try to allocate pitches considering guest preferences where possible. We'll review our allocation process to see if we can better manage this.
Finally, we're very concerned to hear about the overcharge complaint from another guest regarding their tent size. This is not our standard practice, and all charges should be transparent and communicated upfront. We would appreciate it if you could provide more details about this incident, or encourage the guest in question to contact us directly so we can investigate and resolve it immediately.
Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide the much better experience we strive for.

We're thrilled you enjoyed our sunny spots so close to the beach and even managed to spot some seals – that's a truly special Norfolk Coast experience! It's also lovely to hear about the friendly atmosphere among campers and how much you appreciated the peace and quiet at night. We agree, mutual respect for space makes for a truly wonderful stay.

Liked Proximity to beach
Disliked Very poorly maintained site and facilities.Numbers of toilets/showers inadequate for number of pitches and generally very dirty dated and worn.
Hardstanding had been laid with builders rubbish including broken tiles and glass other general crap including bits of old carpet and plastic.Pitches themself are poorly defined.
Chemical waste disposal point completely overgrown with weeds.
Given the premium price being charged this site is very poor value for money

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We're glad to hear you appreciated our proximity to the beach, but we are truly sorry to learn that your overall experience with the site's maintenance and facilities fell short of your expectations.
We take your comments regarding the cleanliness, condition of the toilets/showers, the state of the hardstanding pitches (including the debris you described), and the overgrown chemical waste disposal point very seriously. This is certainly not the standard we aim for, and we sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered.
We understand your concerns about value given the premium price, and please know we are actively working on improvements to our facilities and site upkeep to ensure they meet the quality and standards our guests expect. Your detailed feedback is invaluable as we focus our efforts on these areas.

Run down site, overpriced for what was on offer
Power optional grass campervan campsite (no awning)
Liked .....
Disliked Site very run down & overgrown, we paid £40 for one night, no electric, just a cramped pitch, we felt it was overpriced, there was no liquid soap in toilets, the tap just trickles warm water, can't wash hands properly, the pitches were very close together, when we opened our side window the couple next door were literally outside the window. We had water next to our pitch, but it was so overgrown you had to fight with the bushes/weeds to get to the tap.
The washing up area was, again, very overgrown, there were no plugs in the sinks and one of the sinks wasn't working at all. I don't want to upload the photos I took because they're not good , and I feel that with some time & effort and a lot of work, this place could be lovely, the owner was lovely & friendly and I don't feel good about leaving a bad review but I'm afraid this place is nothing like the website. Such a shame as it looked amazing on their website and could be an absolute gem of a campsite

From the manager: We're truly sorry to read about your disappointing experience during your recent one-night stay with us. While we appreciate you highlighting the lovely and friendly interaction with the owner, we are genuinely concerned to hear that the site itself fell so far short of your expectations, especially given how it appeared on our website.
We take your detailed feedback about the run-down and overgrown condition of the site, the cramped pitch without electric for £40, and the issues with the toilet facilities (lack of soap, poor water pressure/temperature) very seriously. We also acknowledge your frustration with the overgrown water tap access, the state of the washing-up area (missing plugs, non-working sink), and the close proximity of the pitches. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort this caused.
Your comments about the site not matching the website's portrayal and the feeling of poor value are particularly concerning to us. Please know that we are actively reviewing all aspects of our site maintenance and facilities. Your comprehensive feedback is invaluable as it highlights the specific areas where we urgently need to dedicate our time and effort. We agree that with significant work, our site has the potential to be the "absolute gem" you envision.
We truly regret that your stay wasn't the pleasant experience it should have been. Thank you for taking the time to provide such honest and constructive criticism; it gives us clear direction on where we need to improve.
