  • Small family-run campsite on a peaceful Cambridgeshire farm
  • Ely 10 minutes' drive; 40 minutes from Cambridge city centre
  • A short walk from the river Great Ouse and traffic-free footpaths
Farmer's View is a small family-run campsite on a peaceful Cambridgeshire farm. Conveniently located just 10 minutes' drive from the small city of Ely and its magnificent cathedral, this simple spot is in a rural location a short walk from the banks of the river Great Ouse. In fact, there's quite a lot of water around in this pretty part of East Anglia, as the site is also within striking distance of the river Lark, lots of old irrigation ditches and Roswell Pits Nature Reserve, a local wildlife haven on the outskirts of Ely. You're also a couple of miles from the Prickwillow Engine Museum, a volunteer-run local heritage centre where you can inspect historic fen pumping equipment up close. The facilities at Farmer's View are well-maintained and include toilets and shower blocks. Barbecues and campfires are permitted and four-legged companions are welcome to come along and join you. Farmer's View's pitches are all very flat and level – even by East Anglian standards. For supermarkets, shops, a public swimming pool, a railway station and restaurants, head into Ely. For days out, you're also within easy reach of Thetford Forest Park (30 minutes), Cambridge (40 minutes) and Bury St Edmunds (40 minutes).

Liked Very convenient location for visiting Ely. Essential but well organised and clean.
One of the most fairly-priced camping we've found in the Country lately.
The owners are helpful and friendly.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked Booked this site really last minute and it was perfect for what I was after. Toilets are great and for a basic site nice that it offers a shower too. The owners were on hand the whole time for any questions and were super friendly. Some pitches have a slight slope but the majority are flat and I had a great stop over here. Would recommend!

Disliked Nothing.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked This place is so lovely. The people who run it are so welcoming. Really nice site. Loads of spaces between pitches. Clean facilities. Fire pits to use. They sell wood too though we had brought our own. Kids loved the fact that they had balls and things they could use. Fully recommend and will be going back :)

Disliked Nothing really. Road in was a bit bumpy but nothing to write home about. If you want a nice and chill site this is the one to go for :)
