Great views, peaceful vibe, & friendly owners. Clean facilities, esp. showers/toilets. Alpacas a hit! Cafe's good too. Minor points: distance to facilities, bumpy road. Highly recommend for value & quiet country escape.

Wonderful
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite.
Dog friendly. Very scenic. Three fishing lakes..
The view from the campsite was spectacular. Loved the alpacas.
Cafe and shop open from 7am till 2ish.
Toilet facilities fantastic and clean.
Other campers were all respectful enough to not be awake/loud after 10.30pm
Disliked The toilets were pretty far to go in the night from the tent. Take a head torch.
The road to the campsite was quite off track bumpy.
But I wouldn't let these put you off a fantastic place.

Great experience!
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Small, intimate camping area. Clean toilet/shower area and very friendly, helpful owners. Great to have the cafe on site for breakfasts/snacks! Also fun to see the animals!
Disliked Not a dislike, but more a note that the toilet/shower block is a little walk from the camping area.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked 1) Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. 2) Affordable and great value for money.
3) Convenient location, close to West Midland Safari Park.
4) Clean toilets and showers.
5) 4 showers and 5 toilets available – no queues during our stay. 4 showers and toilets are together which means no more than one person can enter the shower/toilet unit at a time. One of the toilets is on its own (Cloakroom).
7) Cosy café serving sausages, sandwiches, toasties, and hot drinks Café food and drinks reasonably priced. Two phone charging points available at the café.
Disliked Toilets and showers are a bit of a walk (200m) from the camping area. Need a torch for night trips to the facilities. Limited charging points – recommended to bring a power bank. Would be better if there was a toilet closer to the camping area, especially for night use

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely outlook over the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed walking around the site looking at the alpacas, geese, and the fishing lakes. The gentleman on reception was lovely. The toilets and showers were spotless and quite modern.
Disliked Bit of a walk to the toilet facilities along an unlit path.

Worth a visit even for a couple of hours, cafe on site.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Myself and grandson (3 years old) stayed at Wassell Grove Camping site. A hidden treasure not far from central Birmingham. It was a 2 night stay and just as well as we forgot to bring the all essential cooker. The staff at the site were helpful and went to the local shop to get me coals for the BBQ we had brought which was our saving grace for the evening meal. The campers were a friendly bunch and helped us put up our tent as our camping experience was limited. I would highly recommend the site a lovely oasis from town and would make for a good day out with young children and a picnic for a couple of hours as there are Alpacas and fishing lakes on site, failing that exploring the through the woody grounds is enough to keep the children entertained. The camping grounds are level and well kept, good, roomy, clean bathrooms and toilets. P.S my grandson thoroughly enjoyed his visit. A big thankyou to the Wassell staff for all their help.
