Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches
Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked We've just returned from 2 nights at Skegness fields, was a last minute booking. We didn't use the facilities such as the shower block and toilet block however our friends who we travelled with did and said they was very clean and nice.

We was on the first field on the right along with some seasonal members who was lovely...

Being next to the park was a bonus as we could see the kids from the caravan.

Reception lady was lovely and very welcoming.

Overall the site was lovely but the local attractions wasn't for us therefor we probably wouldn't return.

Disliked Nothing. WiFi was poor but didn't effort us much.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Staff were friendly. This is a large site with lots of room for motor homes, caravans and also there are plenty of static caravans. The site is clean and a nice play area at the top of the site. The toilet blocks are clean and plenty of toilets and showers available.
Great walk around the site for dog walkers

Disliked We were in a tent and you definitely feel like the poor cousins of the caravaners. The tent field is small and the pitches are tiny. There is a pitch marker which you’re told to pitch in front of but no clear pitch boundaries. Because the pitches are small by the time your guide ropes secure you’re left wondering where to squeeze your car without running over tent pegs and trying to get your car in and out is like running a maze.
There is no electric hook up but this is not a problem.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Good location, easy to find, good toilet blocks and shower. Hot water,

Disliked We booked a grass pitch for our tent but had a difficult experience. First of all, our pitch number was very hard to find – very few pitches were actually numbered. We had to spend quite a bit of time trying to figure it out by looking at other pitches. The ground itself was uneven, which made it uncomfortable for pitching the tent.

The field felt overcrowded, with far too many people packed into a small space, and many campers didn’t even seem sure where their pitches were meant to be.

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
