Hardstanding and grass pitches

  • Well-kept family campsite with Eryri mountain views in Gwynedd
  • Dinas Dinlle Beach, Caernarfon and Gypsy Wood Park 10 minutes’ drive
  • Dog-friendly, spacious pitches at a peaceful farm with cattle on site
If your remit is proximity to Eryri National Park and plenty of room for the kids to run around, Ty'n Rhos Farm Caravan Park in rural Gwynedd is the site for you. Super-spacious grass and hardstanding pitches have stunning views to the peaks of Eryri (20 minutes’ drive), and are set around the perimeter of a two-acre camping field, leaving the centre open for recreational use and exercising any dogs. The site is set on a family-run beef and dairy farm with a free-range herd; the milk is sold to produce Welsh cheese and butter. Amenities for guests include showers with ample hot water, a washing-up room and a freezer pack service; barbecues are welcome but there are a couple of pubs and takeaways in Bontnewydd (10 minutes) if you’re not a lover of alfresco cooking. Ty'n Rhos Farm is 10 minutes’ drive from the historic royal town of Caernarfon and its impressive castle, and within easy distance of the Llŷn Peninsula, Eryri and Anglesey for family days out. You can be on Dinas Dinlle Beach, walking along the estuary at Y Foryd or pedalling along the Lôn Eifion Cycleway within 10 minutes too.

Stunning Snowdonia views, peace & spotless facilities praised. Friendly owners, level pitches. Good North Wales base, though limited showers & pot wash in ladies' loos noted. Occasional farm smells/airfield noise.

Liked Our second time staying here in the summer holidays and these people are absolutely amazing. They feel like family to us. They have gone above and beyond to help us and to make our stay the best ever. They even asked me if my autistic son was OK with noise before they mowed the grass. So thoughtful and I absolutely love them both. Whenever I visit North Wales I will be staying here. It's a beautiful farm and as I said previously the cleanest place I've ever seen. The dogs are so friendly too they came to play at our tent.
Truly this place and these people are the best on earth.
Wouldnt change a thing
Thankyou so much for everything. We will be back soon.

Liked Lovely site, a working farm, looking up on the Snowdonia range. Just a short drive away from the estaury and beautiful Caernarfon,, Anglesey and all the best of the Welsh coastline. In land you have the beautiful Snowdonia range. All within reach from the site.Blessed with lovely weather, we had a fabulous long weekend break. The owners were very personable. Liked The peace & quiet of the park & it being central to majority of the attractions we wanted to see in North Wales. The scenery around the park were amazing. The toilet/shower although small, facilities were always kept clean & tidy & inspite of the number of people on site, we didnt wait long
The youngest loved watching the cows

Disliked The washing up facilities were sited in the ladies, which made it difficult at times, as the men in our party were the washer uppers which meant they felt uncomfortable being in the ladies on their own & wanted a female from our party to accompany them to avoid any possible unpleasantness. The toilet was a hike from the 2nd field, best not leave it to the last minute, harder on the 4 year in our party.
