What customers say
Generous, flat sites in a top spot. Staff are a big hit – friendly and helpful! Relaxed vibes abound. Facilities are basic but clean. A few grumbles about portaloos/showers, but most reckon it's a winner and would come back.

Could be so much better than it is
Bell tent (six person, basic)
Liked Spacious bell tent. Lots of room. Easy walk to pub. Easy walk to shop.
Disliked Bell tent floor was not that clean.
Showers either boiling hot or freezing cold.
Did not see site wardens during our stay but did see others arriving late, camping and leaving early, probably without paying.
One cold water sink for asking up. Broken, rotten step to stand on.

Basic pop up site with portaloos and wooden outdoor showers.
Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site
Liked Very easy to book. Fair price for the area its in. Then just turn up and park we neve say any warden. Its a massive field basically with portaloos and pop up showers that were hot enough but very basic and 2 washing up sinks. Don't expect anything more.
Disliked Nothing really. I read the reviews and description and received exactly what I wanted and expected. I did see a few dog poos not picked up which is a shame on the owners of the dogs. There was a bit of road and railway noise through the night but didn't bother us. Portaloos needed a clean.

Not for us
Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site
Liked The location is good with a few pubs and a shop within walking distance.
Disliked The site was not for us. There was no vibe and whilst we’re used to basic sites, this was incredibly basic. The portaloos were smelly and I didn’t trust the shower cubicle (built with chipboard). We were bitten all over, there was quite a bit of noise from the bypass and trains passing on the nearby tracks, along with a dog on the loose in the middle of the night barking so we had an awful sleep. There was also dog poo left in the field. We were meant to stay for 2 nights but left after the first night.

I thought.£27 per night a lot for a field and porta loo
Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site
Liked Good location for Christchurch, the Beach, Harbour and new forest.
Nice flat field, free to choose camping spot.
Very basic site it is just a field with porta loos and very basic wood outside shower cabins, no handwashing basins .which is fine as what I wanted
Disliked No hot water for washing up.
No staff presence

A reasonable price for adequate facilities. Unlikely to return, though
Bell tent (four person)
Liked Easy check in, pointed to tent and was sorted within 10 mins.
Toilets and showers were basic, but clean.
Disliked Bed squeeked, so disturbed the kids everytime I moved. Tent let the light in, so everyone awoke upon first light.

My kids enjoyed the two nights we were there just the facilities.
Bell tent (six person, basic)
Liked The tent we hired.
Location was lovely
Disliked Showers and toilets not ideal 1 out of 3: showers were correctly working.
It just seems quite steep for what you got.
May say suggest putting toilets on other side as well.
Maybe worth putting in more adequate facilities.
