Liked: Nice to have your own lane in the orchard, very picturesque view to wake up to.
Disliked: 1. The path/road on the campsite is poorly maintained. It's a giant mud pit and I fell twice on my way to the toilet in the night. Recommend laying gravel. 2. The facilities are not adequate for camping. There are two toilets next to the restaurant which is the main attraction. They are a long way from the campsite and it's not easy to get to after dark. The bathrooms are tiled and furnished as one would a restaurant toilet, which quickly resulted in a very slippery and muddy mess covering the decorative tiled floors. The toilet paper is stored in a basket on the floor underneath the basin, collecting mud and dirt as you walk in and out. Both these aspects are health and sanitary hazards. Recommend the toilets you received planning permission for is situated closer to the campsite, has industrial non-slip vinyl floors installed, and makes use of proper wall mounted toilet paper dispensers. 3. There is one shower and two washing up basins close to the campsite. The area serves as a dumping ground for the premises. There are piles of rotting wood, dead branches and what seems to be a container of rubbish and glass bottles that was wrapped in black plastic but spilling out onto the ground. Again, a health hazard and a very unsightly and distasteful side to the premises. Recommend this is cleaned up. 4. The lanes in which you are allowed to pitch are not clearly marked. The couple next to us spent 3 hours pitching their tent and setting up camp. Soon after they started packing up, when we asked what had happened, they said they were just informed they are not allowed to camp in that lane and need to move. It took them another two hours to take everything down and re-pitch 2 lanes down. We were lucky to have chosen a lane where we were allowed to camp. In hindsight this was poorly communicated because we cannot recall explicit instructions not to pitch up in that area and it's not listed in the "rule book" you are handed on checking in either. Recommend putting up sign posts in the lanes you may not camp. That poor couple spent almost 5 hours pitching up and down! 5. The site does not have appropriate gates to close off the entrance to the property at night. Instead, they decided to place what looks like an antique grass roller in the middle of the dirt road in an attempt to block anyone from entering the site. We came back from the beach one evening and nearly wrote off our car driving into this farm implement. The heavy roller is the height of a car bumper, and the remainder is a metre high metal rod with a handle that's only seen in headlights once you're close to driving over it. Honestly - there is a reason why boom gates have reflectors on them! Once again, a huge safety hazard and a big accident waiting to happen. Highly recommend you install something proper. Overall, this site sells itself for something it has not yet achieved. From a hygiene, sanitary and safety perspective, it has a very long way to go. Not quite the "bees knees" they sell themself as!

Liked: Everything. Quiet, secluded, spacious, firepits provided, security dog Lilly, friendly wild farm cat, excellent ciders in a really good bar, great picnic/cider garden, noisy bird life (relaxing!) dark nights, good, clean facilities, welcoming and friendly staff, all-in-all, just brilliant. And no children to disturb the peace and tranquility!
Disliked: The weather for one day!

Liked: Camping right in the orchard, especially with all the blossoms. Lovely cider for sale and fire pits allowed.
Disliked: Not many toilets. Could have done with a couple of toilets at far end of field by shower and washing up area.

Liked: Brilliant farm camping with great facilities. A bracing walk to the sea at West Bay, lovely local footpaths and direct access to some very fine cider meant our two night camp was very well spent. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves as it was early in the season but everything was up and running for hot showers, firewood and one of the most excitable Jack Russell's you'll encounter.
