  • Quiet family-run site five minutes’ drive from Tattenhall in Cheshire
  • Shropshire Union Canal five minutes’ drive and Chester 20 minutes
  • Wildlife pond and walks on site; pubs and shops five minutes’ drive
Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with hardstanding and grass pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk and you may spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops as well as pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork where food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, Delamere Forest (20 minutes) is a labyrinth of walking, horse riding and cycling trails, while Chester (also 20 minutes) makes a great day out thanks to its Roman/medieval walls, half-timbered Tudor-era architecture and zoo. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

Rabbit unpowered grass caravan site

Liked Peaceful site, lots of space, pitched right near duck pond, spotless toilet & shower block. Huge open field just off site for dog walks which is a massive bonus.
On my own with my two dogs, feels safe, everyone friendly. Great walk to Tattenhall Marina for a coffee then picked the canal up.

Lisa M.

Robin powered grass caravan site

Liked Everything! The site itself is huge, has 2 ponds and a large field at the back, plenty of space for play and wandering around on both fields. I basically had the site to myself for a few days. Sat watching the ducks for hours. Lovely and clean. Nina and her husband are wondeful. 100% will come back next year with my son. The barn next to my pitch is being done up into a shop i think.

You definitely need a torch for night time trips to the toilet. It's mega dark, perfect for star gazing.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much Lisa, the pictures are lovely! Glad you enjoyed some r and r! Look forward to seeing you again next year

Hayley H.

Fox powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Good size gravel pitch to park the camper van , with a decent sized grass pitch next to it to set up our awning. We opted for electric hook up which was great. The site itself is simple, pitches plus showers, toilets, washing up area and waste disposal area. Everything you need for such a bargain price. Generally a quiet site, some noise from the nearby a road during the day, this died down at night. In a great area for stargazing too, we had lovely clear skies during our stay. I spoke to one of the owners who said they are improving the site, waiting for planning permission etc. I personally thought it was a gem of a site. Will visit again.

Disliked Nothing.
Bit of a patchy signal- phone wise, but I welcomed the peace and quiet.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: What a lovely review Hayley. Thank you so much!!
