What customers say
Great spot near coastal spots. Staff are friendly, pub's got good grub & entertainment. Pitches are spacious. Facilities are clean, though loos/showers a bit dated. Some noise from the railway.

Liked - bar staff very lovely
- food was good, fairly priced
Disliked We booked up early July for the last weekend of August. On arrival we were shown to what was called “the VIP area”, we were informed this was very private and quite. This was located around the back of the pub, this appeared to be the garden of the property upstairs.
This pitch was only accessible by walking through someone’s washing on the line. This was brought up with manager and washing was taken down the following day.
The pitch directly looked into the pub, therefore when trying to relax we had people watching us whilst waiting for their meal to arrive.
We paid for an electric grass tent pitch, however this was not provided where we were pitched.
Slept great the first night, however, second night karaoke started and this went on until after 11pm. Despite the site stating in their information leaflet “no noise after 10.30pm”. We went into the bar after 10.30 to enquire when it would finish as we had two young children who were having difficulty sleeping due to the noise level. Advised it wouldn’t be much longer, we attempted to close the windows from the outside to restrict some noise coming out to little effect. These were later closed by the bar staff after request, however it was still very noisy given we were roughly 8 feet away from the pub.
Was woken at 1.20am on the Sunday morning when the residents of the upstairs property were entering and exiting their back door. This was accessible through the garden we were located in. This woke my 2 year old daughter as the sound of high heels on the hard floor and the gate being opened/closed was disruptive.
Had a meal in the pub on our second night which we couldn’t fault, food was lovely and bar staff were very accommodating! However, whilst eating our meal there was a couple who appeared to be regulars sat at the bar using the most vulgar language which isn’t appropriate especially when young children are present.
Toilet facilities were run down but we did not use these unless necessary as we spent a lot of time off site.
Do not think it was worth £35 a night to camp in someone’s back garden.

Friendly staff Food in the restaurant…

Liked Friendly staff
Food in the restaurant was nice.
Good location
Disliked Turned up (pre booked) to what looked like a full site. The owner walked around the site and then guided us to the edge of the tent field! Not an actual pitch, just crammed in!
Not the cleanest facilities. It stated wifi- this only worked in the pub and a play an area - this didn’t exist!
Overpriced for the facilities that were actually provided

Liked Not far away from Alnwick Castle and Amber
Disliked The facility was really dirty. The toilet paper was empty. It was really disgusting.
At the arrival there was chaos. No one knew that we were comin. We booked a gras standing pitch, but what we got was a shared place Hard standing.
The railway is really loud but the generator for electricity was louder.
It was to expensive for what we got.

Disliked Toilet block in need of refurbishment. Standing in dirty water when stepping out of shower... not nice. No shops nearby, nearest is 10- 15 minute ride into Amble.
