Liked: Very friendly proprietor and an immaculately kept site with really good flat hardstanding, picnic tables provided on a grassy area for each pitch. The Bistro on site was a bonus too. The location of this site was great for accessing a range of visitor attractions in easy travelling distance - National Trust properties, the seaside, country park walks and so on.

Liked: Quiet, clean pleasant site. Owners were friendly. Pub did nice food with offers eg pie night was pie mash and peas and a pint for £12.
Disliked: Let down by 2 extremely frustrating showers. One wouldn’t show any signs of any heat, and the other in a wet room took literally many wasted minutes of trial and error to get a medium temperature as it defaulted to super hot or cold. Very frustrating. My wife gave up on the shower and used our caravan one.

Liked: From the second we arrived on site we knew we had booked a great place, the site is extremely well kept as is the pub/restaurant. The pitch was loose gravel which was perfectly level and did not hold any water after heavy rainfall, opposite the pitch was a freshly cut lawn with a 4 seat bench and table, at night the site has excellent lighting with a gated entrance. Our vehicle is over 7m long and would have fitted on any of the various identical pitches. Theres an on site wet room, toilet, and washing facilities all being very clean and well kept. The food in the restaurant was excellent (top marks to the chef) lastly the site is run and owned as a family concern and nothing was too much trouble . Good phone signal and very easy to find with a large entrance/car park in front of the camper/motorhome/caravan pitches . Well deserved praise IMO
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Lovely flat site, well kept and clean. The site is behind the bistro so didn't have any bother with road noise. We were disappointed that the bistro wasn't open on a Monday as it was one of the reasons we booked it. Pitchup site doesn't seem to mention it but it is on the owners website. They do intend to open Bank Holiday Mondays. Showers and toilets are basic, but kept very clean. I did manage a nice hot shower, only a matter of being gentle with the controls! Fan heater was welcome. Somewhere to sit on in the larger one (where there is room) to save balancing on one leg to get dressed would be nice. A good summer time stop over - no heating in toilets and a bit drafty.
