There's a cracker of a Costa Brava beach just 500 metres from Camping Rodas in Gerona's Roses: the golden sands and sheer shallow waters of Santa Margarita run for over 650 metres, in a coastal strip with windsurfing and diving, a residential marina and a cracking choice of bars and restaurants. Camping Rodas is in a quiet and easily accessible spot a short walk from the beach, with more watery pursuits available at its two pools (one for grownups and one for tiddlers); and with relaxing/basking/falling asleep under a book also on hand at its solarium. The snack bar next to reception overlooks the pools and solarium and has a comfy terrace to settle down on. The site also has a playground, a supermarket, a coin-operated washing machine, and two loo and shower blocks with hot water and an area with sinks for washing-up. Pitches are separated by hedges and trees to give shade on hot days.

Liked: We loved everything about this park. You can hire bicycles to go to the beach or shops. Gorgeous swimming pool and veranda area. Restaurant on site. VERY friendly staff ..... and the CLEANEST BATHROOMS we have encounteted on our roadtrip from the UK.

Liked: Fantastic toilet/shower amenities. Kept immaculate, even with a full site and rain, by a very committed and friendly group of staff. Easy access to shops, restaurants and the beach. Multi lingual reception and resturant staff helpful and friendly. Whole site is beautifully maintained.

Disliked: Charging for WiFi that then did not aleays work well.

Liked: Very nice pitch , a bit close to others but there are a few little trees dividing the plots, water on each plot .Facilities were very clean , staff seemed to be around all the time cleaning ! Pool looked nice , didn’t use it but it was open ! Restaurant on site and a small shop. Walking distance to a big Lidl , also to the beach. Good for cycling. Very flat. Cycle paths marked out along the promenade. Very good reception. English a lot better than my Spanish. 🇪🇸

Disliked: Had to pay for WiFi which is unusual. 2 euros a day

Costa Brava safari tent

Liked: En septiembre se respira tranquilidad, buen ambiente. La ubicación, la parcela, la piscina y el Lodge estaban genial. Cabe destacar sobre todo la amabilidad del personal y la limpieza del camping y sobre todo de los baños, estaban limpísimos las 24h. del dia. Experiencia que repetiré segurísimo en cuanto pueda. Disliked: Creo que debería haber más privacidad entre los alojamientos glamping pues estan muy pegados, más vegetacion separatoria o mas frondosa. Es lo único.
Por lo demás todo perfecto!

Liked: De staanplaatsen waren ruim en omgeven door een struik. Hierdoor had je privacy. De camping was zeer proper. Het sanitair werd meerdere keren per dag gekuisd. Het personeel was behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De camping us een goede uitvalbasis om enkele tripjes te maken. Zoals, citadel van Roses, het oude klooster, Gerona, Figerues en Barcelona.

Liked: Amazing site, good sized pitch.
Pool lovely with plenty of beds throughout the day. Bar nice food reasonably priced. Close to the shops 5 mins walk & to the beach. Main town roses is about 15/20 mins walk. Lidl short drive up the road
Excellent toilet/showers blocks plenty of room. (Only issue touch buttons )
We extended our stay for the week was glorious weather.

Local attractions

Many a watery pursuit will be found to dive into at the local beach, such as windsurfing, paddle surfing and kitesurfing; on land, several cycling and walking routes are around the area. More hiking – as well as mucho birdwatching – can be had at the Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l'Empordà nearby, the second largest wetland in Catalonia and home to over 320 species, and at the Cap de Creus Natural Park peninsula on Catalonia's far northeast. Both are a short drive from Camping Rodas. Family days out in the area include crazy golf, taking a trip on the Roses Express tourist train or going to the water theme park of AquaBrava. Feeling cultural? Have a surreal day out at the Teatre-Museu Gala Salvador Dalí in Figueres, or around the arty Cap de Creus town of Cadaques.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
