  • Among spectacular scenery a short stroll from the beach at Crail
  • A 20-minute drive from St Andrews and 45 from Fife
  • Heated outdoor pool and indoor play area
Golfers, boaters, beach fans, families, couples and heritage hunters: you'll surely approve of Sauchope Links Park in Scotland's Fife. On the eastern tip of Fife, this is a place positioned to soak up sun, with spectacular Scottish views, and within walking distance of the historic town of Crail. It's a short drive from famed St Andrews and has outdoor pursuits aplenty to pursue in the surrounding area. And those beaches? The local sands at Crail are only a few minutes' walk away. Amenities are kept spotless to ensure guests have as comfy and relaxed a time as poss; you'll find pursuits on site too, such as a heated outdoor pool and an indoor play area for the kids with pool and a football table. You won't have to leave the park if you need emergency bits and bobs, as the site shop stocks basic essentials. But if you do want to stockpile stuff to be sure, local supermarkets are 10 minutes' walk away at Crail along a most scenic coastal path.

What customers say

Lovely spot on the beach with gorgeous views. Clean facilities, super staff, and comfy huts/pods. Pool's a winner. A bit dear for WiFi, hot tub wood can run out, and the beach itself could do with a tidy.

Hideout camping pod (hot tub, no pets, firepit)

Liked The pod had everything we needed, well equipped, fantastic view, nice seating area on decking and very clean. Excellent location for walking and only short walking distance from the village too x

Disliked The hot tub was stove dependant so took about 2 hours to heat up so we used all our firepit wood!

Cabin

Liked The cabin that I stayed in was incredibly cosy & had stunning views. Amazing showers (hot, with great pressure), toilet facilities were very clean. The shop was also well stocked.

Disliked I would have liked to have had a bottle of water in the room and perhaps basic crockery for tea and things. That being said, i was informed that i should bring my own and it wasnt a huge walk into the village for food.

Cabin

Liked Cabin was perfect. Wonderful views. Nice and clean, beds comfy (only used one of the singles, as just me and my dog). Heating worked great, especially on a cold November evening.
Toilets and showers clean and showers nice and hot with powerful flow.

Disliked Lighting not very bright.
Also had to walk along the grass to the toilet and shower block. Could do with a path along the cabins rather than grass which was very muddy.

Cabin

Liked Well kept cabin and grounds. Beautiful view of the North Sea from the cabin. Crail is a very sweet small village with its own small story.

Disliked Walk from main drive on Crail to the holiday park has no street light so not comfortable to walk in dark especially in autumn/ winter time. Very little activity by other patrons after 7. No camp fires etc scene.

Geodesic dome (hot tub, no pets, wood-burning stove)

Liked Location of Dome was great over looking the sea. Nearby toilets and showers which were spotless! Loved the log fire which came in handy in October. We were supplied to bags of logs.
Plenty of plugs to use in kitchen/games room to charge phones etc as no electricity in the Domes.
Location is great, short walk into Crail and short drive to St Andrew’s.

Disliked Walking on stones to get to hot tub, will remember flip flops next time!
On arrival the top of our hot tub had blown off due to a storm and the hot tub was filled with debris which the staff kindly took care of.
Toilets would benefit from a socket for hairdryers for people staying in Domes.
Domes have no wifi but we knew this before we booked
