Liked: We absolutely adored our trip here. The scenery is fantastic, with views of Scafell Pike, and we liked waking up to see our sheep neighbours every day. It's a twenty minute drive from Wastwater and the start of the trail up Scafell Pike. We hiked and kayaked in the unexpected heat, and it was lovely to come back to camp and use the hot showers which were super clean, as were the toilets. There is also a polytunnel to dry wet gear which was handy. There are some nice pubs that serve food in walking and cycling distance if you don't fancy camp cooking. We were surprised to find free WiFi and a charging point, there is limited data signal so this is very helpful. We always like when campfires are allowed as we love toasted marshmallows! Most of all we found Jonnty incredibly welcoming and he was happy to share all his local knowledge about the area. Highly recommend his campsite and there is so much to do nearby that I'm sure we'll be back.

Liked: Everything. Facilities were all clean and tidy, flushing toilet, working hot shower. Electrics for charging electronic devices if needed. Great location. WiFi across the camp site was a bonus.
Disliked: The wind was so bad there was a slight problem with curtain for privacy whilst using the shower.
