Liked: An excellent site with cleaning facilities and level pitches. It was comfortable and dog friendly. A lot of greens around, the lake is near and the staff is very friendly.
It was quiet and we had a good time to calm down immediately.
Thank you for the short but nice time.
Disliked: Unfortunately there is no Pub for an evening beer nearby. 😉

Liked: Pleasant site situated next to a small country park which was ideal to walk dogs around and allow them to have a cool off in water. Cafe at country park serves reasonable quality food.
No traffic noise from roads. Slept well.
Staff on site polite. Grounds well maintained. Toilets and showers cleaned daily.
Showers reasonably powerful even if had to keep pushing button.
Disliked: The site a little strange in that not just a holiday site as appeared to have permanent residents.
Shower cubicles a little on small side with no where to put shoes as only small hooks to hang clothes.
Pitches quite close together

Liked: The setting of this campsite is lovely. Nice walks around the lake in the adjacent park and lovely food served at the park cafe. Service pitches are really good.
Disliked: I’ve been coming here for a good number of years. It’s where I stay when visiting my son in Sandhurst. I would have given 5 stars but for two easily resolved issues. At least that’s my opinion. The first is the chemical disposal point. It’s disgusting and needs updating. It’s been disgusting for all the years I’ve visited this campsite. The second issue are the bins. They are always overflowing when I visit and they stink. Can the management please address these two issues.

Liked: The surrounding area was forest with paths to walk, and the site bordered a lake with a path nearby so we could get to the lake edge in places.
Disliked: The pitch was cramped with hard raised edges which meant we could not put up the gazebo we paid extra for.
The toilets were sometimes not pleasant, perhaps they needed cleaning more often
There was a bar/club house but it was very dark inside and didn't feel very welcoming so we didn't stay inside
The path crossed water by a bridge but looking over the edge showed the water had lots of rubbish and litter in it which was a real shame and suggested the site needed a regular caretaker
It's a pity as the site was in a lovely area but we felt the site had not been designed with the forest in mind and that nature had been pushed out to the edges

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that certain aspects of your visit didn’t meet your expectations.
We always aim to provide a clean, peaceful, and enjoyable environment within our holiday park. While we do our utmost to maintain everything within our grounds, it's important to note that areas beyond our gates are owned and managed by the local council, and unfortunately, we don’t have control over their upkeep. However, we will pass along your concerns to the relevant department.
We also wanted to clarify that our park does not have a clubhouse or bar on site. This is something we try to make clear in our booking information, as we aim to provide a quieter, more relaxed setting for guests who prefer that kind of stay.
We do appreciate your comments and hope you might consider returning in the future to enjoy the things our park does offer.

Liked: Lovely site. Very quiet and peaceful. The Country Park next door was beautiful.
We had a fab pitch, far enough away from the main entrance, so very few vehicles going past us. All the pitches were generous in size, and nicely spaced, so nobody was on top of each other. We really liked how secure the site was too.
The electric supply was a bit peculiar, as we were told we needed to pay more for the 16 amp supply, but when we asked about doing so (our fridge doesn't work properly on 10 amp), we were told we were already on the 16 amp. We are still not sure that we were, as our fridge still didn't work, and is definitely not faulty. Anyway, just clearer communication about this, or a test to check what supply we were on, would have be appreciated.
I know previous reviews mentioned issues with the cleanliness of the facilities, but we didn't experience any problems. The only point I would mention on this is that other guests should take responsibility for cleaning up after themselves - it shouldn't just be down to the staff! If guests leave it in a state for others, then that is on them!
Wokingham is lovely - only a few miles away and super easy to get to on the bus (Leopard 3, the bus stops to and from town are right on the main road by the Country Park). We had a terrific meal at the Lord Raglan, and enjoyed ten pin bowling at the Super Bowl. Plus days out to Windsor and Thorpe Park.
Overall, a really fantastic few days.
