Whether you’re the type to appreciate some good food, views, artistic cities or historic sites (or indeed all of the above), assemble for Agriturismo Il Melograno. What a spot – the Verona province site is a 20-minute drive from Lake Garda, half an hour from Verona and 35 minutes from Mantua, but the list continues…watersports, lakefront walks, boat trips, artistic cities, historic sites and pretty villages with popular wines and ancient mills are all easily accessible from here. Exploring will be a treat, then. But so are the site’s facilities… the farmhouse area has been designed for families and includes a swimming pool, a playground, a football and basketball pitch and a climbing dome. And what of the scenery? Well, this is a quiet place, surrounded by plenty of greenery. Relaxing is very much encouraged from sunrise to sunset but also in the middle of the day, as there are lots of trees in the grove to give out shade. This is not an indifferent food and wine area either, oh not at all. Try the light Bardolino wine accompanied by lake fish or a stronger wine like Amarone. Popular tortellini can be tried in Valeggio sul Mincio too, which is only 10 minutes’ drive away from the site.

This well-kept campsite has spacious sites and a peaceful vibe, perfect for Verona & Lake Garda. Staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are spotless, and the pool is superb. Lots of fun for kids! Some found occasional plane noise and few toilets, but most loved it and want to return.

Liked Accueil ! Terrain plat ! Bien situé ! Sanitaires propres mais nous n'étions que 2 caravanes je ne peux pas juger avec plus de monde en saison. Calme durant notre séjour.
Jeux pour enfants (échecs géants, trampoline,...)

Disliked La sortie est vraiment étroite pour repartir et pourtant j'ai l'habitude de manœuvrer. Mais avec une caravane de 6m c'était vraiment limite.

Liked nous y sommes venu juste avant la fermeture en octobre, très bon accueil de JULIA fort sympathique. camping très propre et spacieux (mais nous n'étions pas nombreux).

Liked Really lovely site. Very friendly family that run it. Couldn’t be more helpful. Everything immaculate. Fantastic for dog owners as super relaxed and the 2 dogs on site very friendly. Beautiful pool and lovely outlook among rows of olive trees. Verona close by which is well worth a visit.

Liked Wir waren im September für 6 Übernachtungen da, traumhaft schön. Ein ruhiger und gepflegter Ort mit einem schönen Pool. Die Betreiber sind unglaublich herzlich und lieb. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Man sollte Fahrräder, Motorräder oder Ähnliches mitbringen, weil etwas weit vom Schuss. Dafür gibt es aber im Umkreis tolle Ausflugsziele

Local attractions

Cities first: Verona (half an hour’s drive) is likely to be a name you know. Pegged as ‘little Rome’ and famed as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the Roman city has lots going for it, and most of all, its medieval old town and amphitheatre. Mantua (35 minutes), surrounded by lakes and filled with popular architecture like the Chamber of the Giants, is another city for your bucket list. Trento (an hour and 10 minutes), with its castle, cathedral, Renaissance buildings and museum, is just as splendid. Villages next: just because they are small doesn’t mean they’re not mighty interesting. Valeggio sul Mincio (10 minutes) has a hilltop castle and Borghetto (15 minutes) has ancient mills. If you’re after a peaceful style of afternoon, the large park, lawns, ponds, lakes, maze and 400-year-old oak tree at Parco Giardino Sigurtà (20 minutes) will be a very fine idea. For a thrill, though, Gardaland Resort (20 minutes) has plenty of those in the form of rollercoasters and rides.
