What customers say
A tidy, friendly site with spotless facilities & helpful staff, plus a pub! Beautiful location near canal walks. Some say more showers/toilets needed at busy times.

Very disappointed in customer service
Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (adults only, lake view)
Liked Nothing
Disliked The pitch that we booked was not the one we were given after complaining to staff on site we were told there’s nothing they can do and said pitch up were to blame for advertising a pitch that no longer is available due to seasonal caravans being given them

Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked What a friendly site, all staff and seasonal residents are lovely and chatty, really felt welcome. Shower room is ok, two showers and 3 loos. Lovely walk to lakes and pub onsite, and along the nearby canal, beautiful! Safe site, gates are shut at night
Disliked When in the shower, the light kept getting turned off by residents as there is a sign by tbe door, lights need to be on a sensor system. If on hard stand, bring good pegs!

Clean, good sized and friendly staff
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We had a super time at Sunny Side over the Bank Holiday weekend, restored our confidence in camping after a pretty traumatic experience on our previous camping weekend! (Not at Sunny Side!). Really well set up and run with friendly staff. Daughter loved it and made lots of new friends around "The Big Tree"! Definitely will be back, well done everyone!
Disliked Only a couple of very minor maintenance issues which is perhaps to be expected towards the end of the long summer holiday; certainly didn't detract from the enjoyment

Excellent warm site
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Had such a lovely weekend camping. Plenty of space for kids to play. Lovely walk to marina to get Audlam Lass boat into Audlem. Toilets and showers were clean. Showers were hot. WiFi available and never lost connection.
Disliked The noise of the hand dryers in middle of night. Our tent was in a great position for the toilet block but drawback was the powerful hand dryers going off through the night.

A decent weekend but we won’t go ‘deluxe’ again.
Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (adults only, lake view)
Liked Location, staff, walks and general amenities. This is our third stay and we do like this campsite. The Sunnyside part is excellent.
Disliked We paid £50 a night for what was advertised as a Deluxe adults-only pitch. Instead, we were placed on an unused lodge pitch beside the fishing lake at the adjoining Coole Acres Fishery. Unfortunately, it wasn’t set up for motorhomes or caravans – there was no proper water connection or grey waste drain. I had to unhook everything and go off in search of a tap just to refill.
The pitch also wasn’t managed, which meant children were constantly wandering through our area to fish. Some left their gear, beer cans, and rubbish behind for days. We usually tether our dogs on the grass in front of our pitch, but this wasn’t possible with people sitting there, and at one point I even had words with a grandfather who admitted they hadn’t paid to fish.
Part of the reason for our trip was to view the Coole Acres lodges with a retirement purchase in mind. Sadly, when we went across to look at the supposedly idyllic setting, we were really put off – the lakeside was littered with rubbish, and half a dozen teenagers and men were hanging around shirtless, drinking beer. That’s not at all what we had in mind for our retirement.
On top of all that, the pitch was also a fair walk from the toilets and elsan point. Overall, the whole stay fell far short of “deluxe” and was very disappointing, especially given the premium price.

From the manager: Thank you for your review Mike
I'm a little confused as the adult only lake view pitches are advertised as adult only lake view NOT DELUXE! And it does say that there is only water and electric IT IS NOT ADVERTISED AS A FULLY SERVICED PITCH
The price is with fishing included in my opinion and lots who have stayed there the pitches are clean with great views over the lake with water fountains its very tranquil. It was our annual charity dog show the weekend you stayed so it was really busy. I do remember you as i seen you filling up from the tap near the office Sorry if that coursed to much disturbance for you. Other customers there filled there barrels from the tap on the pitch. We was under the impression you already bought a holiday home else were. From what i checked on the lake there was an older gentleman with a mobility scooter that also had a pitch who was fishing And the fact that he left rubbish is unacceptable but they must of picked it up because when Phil our grounds man went round litter picking there was no rubbish WE KEEP BOTH SUNNYSIDE AND COOLE ACRES FISHERY MAINTAINED TO A VERY HIGH STANDERED WE WORK DAILY ON INPROVING AND INVESTING TO KEEP THAT HIGH STANDERD
Hope you visit us again as we value all our customers
