Primitive grass tent or campervan campsite
Liked: Simple south facing site each pitch having a view of Scarborough castle in the distance. The site was clean and the woodland to the rear of each pitch had gorse hedges in full flower. It was quiet (thanks to all neighbours). A decent price for a lone traveller. The facilities were simple but clean. I did consider the pub pitches at Hayburn Wyke but having compared them with Hulleys, I made the right choice.
Disliked: The shower floor tends to get a little dirty (impact mitigated by the slatted platform by the shower itself). Perhaps a bucket and mop with some disinfectant by the entrance would allow users to swish out the mud before/after a shower. No show stoppers, I'd certainly consider the site again if in the area.

Liked: Terraced and spacious pitches
Disliked: No fault of the campsite but one person had a generator operating for most of the time on Sunday. It might not be loud but the background buzz was annoying.

Camping pod
Liked: Loved the pod, it was so nice and cosy! Thought it would be cold (we went when it was raining in March) but it was so nice and warm. We used the bbq provided which was well kept and easy to use. Liked the fact that they provide you with camping chairs. Facilities were right next to the pod too which was amazing. The views were amazing even thought there was low cloud coverage - i bet its a stunning view when the clouds have lifted! Will be returning!

Liked: The pod was spacious and the beds were very comfy. The view from the pod was just breathtaking! I could have sat and stared at the view for hours on end.
The owner came to see us when we got there and was very friendly and welcoming. The fact that we could take our pooch to the pod was an added extra. We will be back. Only gave one star for the WiFi as there wasn’t any which suited us , as it was down time from the electronic world .
