  • Spacious, family-run site in the Lincolnshire countryside
  • A 10-minute drive to Skegness; three miles from the Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Short walk away from a dog-friendly pub; barbecues permitted on site
Let Alan, Jo, their two sons and labrador welcome you into the lovely Lincolnshire countryside… the rural location and the splendid views at The Lazy Buzzards might convince you that you’re tucked firmly away in nature’s big backyard, which is true aside from the fact that the seaside resort of Skegness is only 10 minutes’ drive to the east (that’s a 15-minute pedal for those of you who have brought a pair of wheels along). Families, dogs, couples and any fans of a barbecue will find this family-run site particularly splendid. The nearest dog-friendly pub is only 20 minutes’ walk away and there are many other options for tasty fodder in the pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages, towns and cities, including Burgh le Marsh (half an hour’s walk), Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive), Spilsby (15 minutes), Chapel St Leonards (15 minutes), Alford (20 minutes), Horncastle (25 minutes), Louth (half an hour) and Lincoln (an hour). With the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds three miles away, pick up the pace with rambles through the valleys, woodlands or chalk pits, and then return to the spacious four-acre site for some thorough relaxation. The views over the Lincolnshire fields make for some spectacular barbecues, that’s for sure. When it’s time to see Skegness and all of its sights, simply join the A158 nearby. Once there, you might have a hard time deciding on between all the indoor and outdoor attractions, which include the Fantasy Island theme park, bowling alleys, a cinema, fairground, crazy golf and a beach. Perhaps pick up some fish and chips or ice cream and take a parade along the seafront and pier or nose around the shops on the high street too?

What customers say

Well-kept, peaceful, family-friendly campground with large, level sites. Praised for clean facilities (toilets/showers), friendly owners, and good value. Ideal for exploring the Lincolnshire coast. Secure dog area is a bonus. Minor notes: no sinks in washrooms, occasional septic tank smell, field can get soggy.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The space for the tents were brilliant with enough room for our big 6 man tent and space to have a bbq and the kids to run around. The site was quiet in the evening and nicely lit up. The water, toilet and shower facilities were easy to access and kept clean. The toilet and showers close to the entrance were quirky, being wooden builds
The people on arrival were lovely, friendly and very helpful, even letting us borrow an extension for the electric as ours was too short.

Disliked There was only one thing we found slightly uncomfortable. The showers near the entrance were wooden built and had gaps in some of the wood where people could see straight through as your naked.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Clean facilities
Level pitches
Friendly welcome
Good price and able to book one night in the summer
Non electric pitches had more freedom to leave room between tents than the electric pitches
Close to Skegness

Disliked Not really dislikes but could be improved
Not enough sinks compared to toilets especially if someone is having a shower
Only one washing up sink
The 10.30 noise curfew is later than other sites we've been to with kids especially considering large groups are allowed (luckily it did quieten down before that)

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The site was well maintained, and the owners were friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to notify us as dog owners that there was going to be a fireworks display near by, just in case. Facilites were clean and kept stocked. The site has an enclosed dog run which was a great addition.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The location was easy to get too and very well signposted. Arrival was very fast and the area was clean and tidy. We had an electric/water pitch which was very well maintained. The shower and toilet block was clean and tidy. The pitch was level which meant no sliding off the air bed! 10/10 for our first ever camping trip!

No issues with the actual site and location.

Disliked How close you are to the next pitch.
The people next to us where pitched with their seating area less than two meters from where we tried to sleep so I can honestly say it was the worst camping sleep we have ever had, it was gone 1 in the morning before they stopped 2 nights in a row.if you advertise a no noise after 10.30 you need to be doing checks, other sites do.

How it’s pitched doesn’t work, very little space between you and the next tent. Felt to enclosed and there was masses of pitch space left. So the need to pitch so close doesn’t seem needed.

Such ashame because over all we loved the location and how well it was maintained, the young lad was so helpful!
