With a fantastic setting in the Andalusian village of Villafranco del Guadalhorce, Go Spain is a teeny-tiny motorhome site for adult guests seeking peace and relaxation among spectacular Sierra de Mijas mountain backdrops and with views to the white village of Alhaurín el Grande. Life on this lovingly manicured site is oh so relaxing. There’s no pressure to do anything very much, but should you see fit, you can have a wander around the tropical gardens and make the most of the mountain views over a leisurely picnic lunch. Put your feet up on a sun lounger with your favourite book, or perhaps drift down to the saltwater pool for a cooling dip. Evenings can be equally mellow: choose a drink from the honesty bar in the covered lounge, rustle up something to eat in the shared kitchen, hang out with new-found friends or get gently competitive over borrowed board games. Sometimes (depending on the amount of guests), dinner can be organised on site as well. And the place is as hot on its practicalities as it is laidback in its vibe; you can expect a pristine modern shower block, an efficient launderette (small fee incurred for use) and a breakfast service either delivered to your camper or served in the lounge – again for an extra charge.

This cosy spot's lauded for its lovely gardens, a refreshing pool & top-notch shared kitchen/lounge. Owners are super friendly & helpful, creating a magical, peaceful vibe. It's secluded but walkable to a village, shops & coast. While most found the single shower/loo fine, a few wanted more. Getting here can be tricky.

Liked So much! Nice pool which was the perfect temperature for me. Lovely garden area. Peaceful, adults only. Gorgeous covered lounge area which was a nice shaded place to sit and I think would be wonderfully cosy in winter. Very clean toilet and shower. All in all, a very nice site.

Disliked The co ordinates didn’t take us to the right place. Directions would have helped.
I found the sun loungers uncomfortable. The metal bar under the mesh wasn’t good to lie on. It wasn’t a major problem as there was plenty seating to choose from, but it would have been nicer if it had been cushioned.
The pitches are very small, had there been another vehicle next to us, we wouldn’t have been able to fully extend our awning, however the garden and lounge make up for this.

Liked Everything. The owners have created a beautiful, magical, sanctuary, the garden is charming with lots of space to relax around the swimming pool. The entire place is spotlessly clean. There is an open kitchen & dining area, meditation / yoga area. 1 luxury shower & 1 toilet . We were lucky enough to spend 4 nights. Dog friendly & lots of nice walks with a small village & supermarket in walking distance. The owners are super friendly & extremely accommodating.

Disliked Nothing. Its perfect.

Liked Warm welcome, small intimate site with refreshing swimming pool and clean shower/loo. Good location close to Malaga and the coast.

Disliked Bumpy approach road and some noise from dogs during the night.

Le bon goût de l’ameublement et l’amabilité de l’accueil

Disliked WC et douche unique et dans la même pièce. Nécessiterait au moins le double de sanitaires et bac à vaisselle.

Liked A very friendly host family who made sure everything was perfect. Sunbeds available for guests at the swimming area. Cozy lounge available for guests’ cooking and hanging out. Hopefully we will come back.

All these gorgeous mountain vistas and yet Go Spain is only half an hour’s drive from 16 – yes, 16 – Costa del Sol beaches around the art-mad city of Málaga. Here you can also dip into Andalusian history with a climb up to the Moorish Alcazaba fortress, or check out surrealist artworks at the Picasso Museum Málaga and see inspiring modern installations at the Centre Pompidou Málaga. If you’d rather stay put up in the Sierra de Mijas foothills, grab some sturdy shoes and get walking the Caminito del Rey (45 minutes' drive) through steep Gaitanes Gorge. Alternatively, let someone else do the hard work and join guided buggy tours through the wild mountain landscapes (40 minutes). For a day full of high-octane fun, make for Sunview Park Tirolina Málaga (20 minutes) for zipwires, archery and horse-riding jaunts. Less exhausting options for outdoor activity include a sprinkling of golf courses within 25 minutes’ drive, or a mooch around the exotic gardens at the Jardín Oriental Bienquerido (25 minutes).
