They're a clever bunch at Camping Village Il Poggetto. For as they rightly point out, this Tuscany site's locale near Rignano sull'Arno in the province of Florence means you can pick whichever sort of Italian hol you prefer: basking relaxedly under the sun on site, pottering around the Chianti vineyards surrounding, or basing oneself here to get to glorious Tuscany cities like Florence just 15 kilometres away… (Doing the whole heap is, natch, an excellent option too). The bus stop to splendid Florence is a piffling 50 metres from the Poggetto entrance, and Pisa, Lucca and Siena are all within easy reach for day trips. Mountain bikes are available for hire on site too if your preferred option is to get out into the handscomely scenic surrounding countryside. Whatever your holiday flavour, have quite a bit of Tuscan cuisine and wood oven pizza at the local restaurant, open all day for kicking off your day with brekkie, having a quick lunch and lingering over a proper Italian dinner in the evening. A mini market is on site and barbecues are allowed. Those lazing around on base can splash around in two pools (one for the full-sized and one for the kids), get active at the gym, surf worldly matters at the internet point or send the kids off to get busy at the playground. The site is seven and a half kilometres from afternoons at shopping outlet The Mall – as Tuscan holidays should involve some Italian clothes shopping too.

Shaded spots, great pool & clean facilities. Staff are a ripper, and it's a top base for Florence with a bus handy. Shop & restaurant on-site. Some found the facilities a bit old and the motorway a bit loud.

Liked Sitio ideal en el corazón de la Toscana. Muy tranquilo y parcelas muy bien distribuidas y con mucho espacio. Mejor llegar de dia para ver el sol que da en las parcelas, todo y que hay muchos arboles que se agradecen y en un momento dado si se ve otra plaza libre, informando se puede cambiar de plaza sin problemas. Todos los servicios mas que correctos, baños, duchas, lavadora, secadora, fregaplatos, etc, etc. Servicio de bar y servicio de restaurante totalmente recomendable para cenar, con calor de verano al mediodia mucha calor. Piscina y instalaciones de 10 con servicio de socorrista y obligados a bañarse con gorros de baño (los venden ahí mismo). Servicio y atencion al cliente perfecto, muy amables y muy bien atendidos. Muy cerca de Florencia, unos 15-20 minutos en coche. Y a dos horas como mucho de los sitios mas emblemáticos de la Toscana. Servicio de autobús genial para ir a visitar Florencia y dejar el coche en el camping.

Liked Loved the location up in the Tuscan hills, restaurant had views to die for, pool was lovely and clean, busy at times. Pitches were organised and big. Bus into Florence went from outside the site. We stayed an extra night as my daughter enjoyed it so much. Pizzas are lovely.

Disliked Items from shop were from Lidl but marked up a few euros.
