  • Family-friendly Brittany camping on the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan
  • Port du Crouesty five minutes’ drive and Suscinio Castle 20 minutes
  • Bread delivery and food trucks; GR34 coastal path accessed from site
With a spectacular setting in 12.5 acres of woodland on the tip of the Rhuys peninsula, Camping Le Tindio overlooks Brittany’s gorgeous Gulf of Morbihan. If your dream holiday involves walking, cycling, sailing and kayaking, then this is very definitely the coastal spot for you. You see, you’re in pole position to step straight out from your pitch onto the GR34 Sentier des Douaniers (Customs Officers’ Path), which runs along the edge of the Brittany peninsula, or you can hire bikes from reception to get out exploring the region. Head for Port du Crouesty (five minutes’ drive) to rent dinghies and kayaks, and linger there awhile to have a potter around the pretty harbour and marina. And what of the site facilities? You can pre-order your daily choice of breakfast bread and pastries, and grill up meals on the communal barbecue overlooking the sea. If you don’t feel like cooking (well, you are on holiday), check out the food trucks that roll up to the site in the evening or head into Port du Crouesty to sample the best of Breton gastronomy. Kids should be able to keep themselves busy on the multisports pitch or mastering the art of pétanque. Then, when it’s time to chill out, you can get together as a family to watch TV, read or play board games (borrow the latter from reception) in the social room.

What customers say

Awesome spot, close to coastal walks, shops & port. Staff are legends, grounds are spotless & sites are roomy & chill. Handy food trucks nearby too. A few found it a bit tight, with minor shower hiccups & a bit of noise, but most reckon it's a ripper.

Power optional grass and earth site

Liked Showers and facilities pretty good
Free bus from outside the campsite into the port and supermarket which worked really well.

Disliked Pitches all crammed in on top of each other and far too close to the next.
Noisy neighbours until 5am.😳 Which can't be helped for one night, but for four nights is out of order even when they had lots of complaints from lots of other campers. We were told they've been spoken to!!!

Power optional grass and earth site

Liked Location
Facilities such as boules and football pitch

Disliked Pitch scruffy - bits of chicken bones and discarded nail extensions when we arrived, big pile of gravel in the middle.

Showers and loos could have been cleaner.
Could not reach the electricity point but no extension available to borrow and we’re charged anyway.

Local attractions

Close proximity to the coast path means it’s easy to get out for a walk or a bike ride from this site – and there are plenty of other paths to amble along too. If you’d like to see some seaside scenery in a more leisurely fashion, head to Kerners Pier (10 minutes’ walk) for a boat trip; you can also hire kayaks here if you'd like to paddle yourselves around. Round of golf with your coastal views? Head over to Golf Morbihan (10 minutes' drive) and try not to get distracted by the scenery. If that’s not your scene, take a wander around the botanical gardens at Maison de la Nature (45 minutes) or spend the day at Zoo and Botanical Garden of Branféré (40 minutes), which has an adventure park and botanic garden as well as lots of animals to see. Taking a dip into the area's history is easy around here – perhaps with a visit to the moated medieval Suscinio Castle (20 minutes) or a trip to Carnac (50 minutes) to see the famous standing stones. Another tempting option is a stop at La Maison du Cidre (25 minutes) to learn about the traditional tipple and sample a sip or two.
