What customers say
Litton Lakes gets a thumbs up for its gorgeous spot, ripper staff, and roomy sites. The lake's a real winner for a dip or paddle, with the cafe and local pub also a hit. Facilities are mostly clean, though some reckon the water pressure's a bit dodgy and the loos need more lights. While most love the chill vibe, a few found it a bit chockers or noisy with big crowds. A tidy-up of the dunny and shower blocks would go down a treat.

Liked Lovely site with very friendly staff. The lake was popular, amazing for paddle boards and swimming. The kids loved it!! Cafe served a large variety of drinks and a simple but nice selection of food for lunch. Showers, toilets etc all clean and tidy. Would definitely come again!

Brilliant family stay and we will be back. Kid friendly

Liked Amazing site. We have been to the area many times but 1st visit to Litton Lakes.
Lovely sized pitches, plenty of loos, showers and lovely staff.
The lake and cafe were such a bonus. Kids loved paddle boarding and swimming around.
We liked it so much we stayed and extra night as just didn't want to go home.
10mins walk away is a lovely pub. Friendly welcome and great food.
Only thing that would have topped it off would have been a small kids playground but that's being greedy
Disliked Showers can be a bit hit or miss. Showers close to the cafe great pressure..larger shower block a bit more of a struggle. Not an issue for us thought

Lovely stay.
Unpowered grass site
Liked The setting- in the shelter of low lying hills, flat pitches, big skies, and of course the lake… a huge draw for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. A nice cafe on site, and in walking distance to the pub. Just about the perfect place. West bay is nearby and Bridport for the farmers market.
Disliked Ok… the water pressure in the shower block is a problem. My last shower was a very small dribble of water that ran down the shower stand and only one tap worked in the hand washing area.

Fabulous 2 night break we definitely want to come back.

Liked Most beautiful location and friendly staff.
The lake was great for SUP and the children loved jumping in.
The deluxe hot chocolate from the cafe is to die for.
We loved the field that the children could play on as well as our tent over looked it.
Disliked The shower water pressure was a bit low and the hot water a bit hit and miss.
But this didn’t spoil our time here.

Bell tent (basic)
Liked The setting is beautiful. The lake is great for all ages. Take your own SUP and there’s lots of fun to be had.
The bell tents are good, the carpet was handy. We fit 4 of us with living space and that included 3 camp beds.
It was clean and run by friendly staff. Beautiful pub up the road too.
Disliked The showers. Just not enough power to them.l and they stopped altogether at one point.
And for £100 a night for the bell tent hire, then a decent shower at anytime is a reasonable ask.

Liked Beautiful setting and the lake is perfect for children to mess about out on. Fab cafe, shame it's not open into the evening too! The toilet facilities were super clean and always a toilet or shower available. Generous pitches and massive playing field. Lovely short stroll to a very friendly pub.
Disliked The bathroom facilities are basic and the hot water isn't v reliable, and if people are flushing the toilets the water pressure seemed to totally go. No electricity on site so come prepared with battery packs and no fridge or freezer to refreeze ice packs etc.

Liked Nice location and nice big pitches. Staff seemed friendly when they checked us in. Probably great for certain types of camping experiences but just not what we were after!
Disliked Noisy- (one night kids were still running around screaming until 1 in the morning, attracts large groups, loud music playing, dogs barking throughout night etc- ). We may have just got unlucky or it might just be more of the kind of site that attracts groups of friends for a few nights camping, which was probably just not what we were after- might just need to make sure the rules and website details reflect this maybe?
The solar showers were quite hit and miss. When they worked they were lovely. When they didn't there was barely even a trickle of water.

Great site, lovely staff, beautiful lake and surroundings.

Liked The site was lovely, well organised but flexible for small groups. Campers were respectful and site was quiet after 11pm.
Lake was well used but not too overcrowded and cafe was a great bonus.
Facilities were kept very clean.
Disliked My only issue was the showers and lack of water. It was very much hit and miss, but totally respect what owners are trying to achieve, wouldn’t put me off coming again.
