For somewhere to stop while wending your way westwards to the end of Cornwall, try Fox Farm Motorhome Park, a well-maintained, intimate site set in the grounds of a small farm a mile and a half from Penzance town centre. It won't take you long to get out and see the local wildlife here – this site is located on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty on the sparsely populated Penwith Peninsula. This Cornish spot has a very small number of secluded pitches, all of which are spacious and level. Amenities at this low-key spot include practical features like a water supply via a spring borehole, recycling points and chemical disposal facilities. There's also a small on-site farm shop where you can pick up fresh local fruit and vegetables. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but please keep them on leads, as this is a working farm. Open barbecues are allowed too, but the owners would appreciate it if quiet hours could be respected after 10pm. This site feels peaceful and out of the way but is easily accessible from the main road, which can get you down into Penzance with roughly a five-minute drive. There are several beaches here (including a fair number of dog-friendly options), as well as a railway station, bars, restaurants and supermarkets.

Liked Everything at fox farm was very good ,greeting and information about the site ,the showers and toilet were clean and worked well ,the pitches were large and flat and nicely segregated ,would definitely recommend

Newer toilet facilities.
Choice of DVDs to watch if needed.
Clean and tidy site and well maintained.
Gorgeous Forrest walk 30 seconds away from site.
Lovely peaceful and quiet site.
Super dog friendly.
Owner Andrea was so welcoming and friendly.
If down in the area again would definitely stop again. Amazing value for the money we spend there for the week.

Disliked Only issue is not with the site at all, but we are with the network EE, and had no phone or Internet signal at all. We just played more bored games!
Don't think this will be an issue with other phone networks.

Liked Everything. I was a bit worried because of the Bad review about the showers but he has clearly responded to that Review because the showers are brand new and very clean. Also the man Peter who met me was really helpful and extremely Pleasant

Also even though a bit off the beaten track , the bus stops right out side the farm so I went to st ives for the day on the bus with my daughter and dog and had a break from driving.

Disliked Nothing . In fact if it wasn't for the Bad review I possibly would have stayed another night but I already made other plans

Disliked Felt abandoned. No reception, no one around except a gentleman who lives in one of the mobiles homes at the back. Noone answered either of the 2 phone numbers available. Huge weeds in every pitch and overgrown vegetation everywhere.
Would like pitch up to refund us please

Liked Loved the quiet site. Great views and good facilities. New toilet and shower block looks like it will be wonderful. Fresh fruit from the farm each day on sale. So convenient for Penzance but also for Lizard and Lands End or other parts of this amazing, beautiful county. Laurence and Monika were lovely hosts and couldn't do enough for us, thank you both for a great stay.

Local attractions

Drive 10 minutes down the road to Marazion to see the iconic St Michael's Mount and to explore two sandy beaches, or walk there from Penzance (two miles) along an almost entirely level traffic-free path. Other local outdoor attractions you won't want to miss include the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens (10 minutes' drive), where modern art meets panoramas over the sea, and The Minack Theatre (25 minutes), an open-air events space with regular shows in a spectacular clifftop setting. Finding yourself in St Ives (20 minutes) is another popular option, as this artsy north coast town is home to a Tate art gallery, a pottery centre and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. For something a bit grittier (although without leaving behind the fantastic scenery), there's also the Geevor Tin Mine (20 minutes), where you can discover three centuries of Cornish industrial heritage. Hopping back over to the south coast, you're also within day-tripping distance of Falmouth and King Henry VIII's Pendennis Castle (50 minutes), while just driving west will take you straight to the Land's End Landmark Attraction (25 minutes) where you can look out over the Atlantic.
