  • Family-friendly site with sea views in the New Forest National Park
  • Next door to Lepe Country Park and Lepe Beach
  • Barbecues welcome; café five minutes' walk; shop five minutes' drive
How can you choose between forests and seas? At Lepe Beach Campsite, a spacious, family-friendly Southampton site in New Forest National Park and six miles from the historic Beaulieu village, you don’t have to… Lepe Beach Campsite is next door to Lepe Country Park, where you can take to the beach, visit the café, explore the wooded cliffs and learn more about the New Forest’s role in D-Day’s Operation Overlord. The site is a few hundred metres from the coast, so it is well placed for watersports and beach activities: try out canoeing or kayaking, take to the water for a sailing lesson, or relax with a dip in the sea. Beaulieu's museums and abbey are a 15-minute drive away, and the pretty market town of Lymington is 25 minutes away. Back on site, fire up the barbecue and cook yourself some supplies from the shop five minutes’ drive away or from the nearby farmer’s markets, then chow down sitting around the campfire. If you’d prefer a break from cooking, there are a handful of restaurants within 30 minutes of the site.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked It’s an amazing location, with nice flat pitches and plenty to do in the area. I was worried about the toilets being eco, but I needn’t had worried at all. Everything was clean and well looked after. The on-site shop, food and extras were so good, reasonably priced and we especially liked the pizza. The staff were so helpful and very friendly.

Disliked Nothing at all!

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked The simplicity of the campsite was ideal. Perfect when you just want to escape. The beach was a stones throw away, and the park and walks around the site were beautiful. The eco toilets were great, well maintained and well built! Best I’ve seen!

Disliked Not really a dislike, but the shower stalls could be slightly updated if I HAD to pick something. They were warm, and provided campers left them clean/rinsed the trays, they were-again-simple and completely useable.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked The location couldn't have been better, so close to the beach, just wonderful.

The welcome we had was lovely and the site itself has plenty of space to retain some privacy.

Disliked Just a suggestion, but if you are paying for a bag of wood and kindling, it might be good to offer the firepit for free and only charge if visitors bring their own wood. I found £6 per night a bit much. Saying that, i was grateful to be able to have a fire near our tent.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Very friendly site which didn't feel too busy despite being full, lots of space for kids to play. Compost toilets and showers always clean (respect due to the hardworking staff!) and never had to queue. Easy access to beach and country park (with 2 playgrounds) and a nice cycle to Calshot down a country lane.

Disliked No recycling! It's 2025 guys, sort it out!

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked Stunning location and a well thought out campsite! A back to basics, no frills campsite as no electric and only the basics but they do it so well. Clean and modern shower blocks, toilets and washing up facilities. Plenty of space to pick from and u can choose where u pitch up. Wood fired Pizzas and breakfast rolls at the weekend. Handy little shop/kiosk which sold most of your essentials. Fire pits can be rented too and we roasted marshmallows! The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. Will definitely return!
