Liked: A good set up, Tom was very welcoming and they do sell fire-making materials on site. Access to the lake was fabulous. There are showers but we didn't use them on this occasion.
Disliked: I walked to Lakeside along the roadway and would not recommend doing it with young children. What3Words would be great for finding the entrance as the 'private' sign is misleading for new campers..

Liked: Fabulous little campsite next to the lake. Nice quiet and spacious pitches. Very clean toilet and shower block and washing up facilities. Would definitely visit again ☺️
Disliked: Not so much a dislike but could do with a sign outside the gate so you know where to turn as the lane was hard to find following the postcode

Liked: The owners were welcoming and advised us of the 2 camping areas. We chose the family area which had amazing lake views. Ideal location for getting in to the water. Toilets clean and showers available at certain times. Able to hire firepit. Definitely will return to site
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Beautiful setting, really natural, loads of space, fires allowed.
Disliked: Not loads of creature comforts if you're into that. Firewood a bit expensive, but captive audience and that. Not a dislike but a caveat: You have to cross a stream in your car to get into the campsite. Don't come in your Porsche. :)

Liked: Incredible location, right by Windermere, and close enough to some pubs. The site is a good size with well looked after facilities including some showers which was a nice bonus! We were unlucky with some wet weather so my car got stuck in the mud but the site owner came over and tugged me out with his tractor! There was a nice vibe on the site, families, couples, and groups enjoying themselves and then keeping the noise level down after 9pm which was a bonus as we had some younger kids with us. Will definitely be returning to this site, and recommending it too others!
Disliked: The only recommendation that we had was a sign on the front gate to identify the site.
