Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked: Great location for hiking - lots of walking routes from right next to the campsite, including the Cleveland Way. The wooded area is nice, with views out over the moors. Small campsite with a handful of pitches.
Disliked: The facilities were terrible - limited and very dirty. I’m not sure where they get off charging £27 and not providing people with clean toilets/showers. Please spend some of that money on some hand soap - it’s not expensive. Would not stop here again. Supposed to be one picnic bench and one fire pit for every pitch but it’s a free for all situation so if you’re the last to arrive, there may not be one left if someone else has taken two. Bear that in mind if you plan on leaving your table and fire pit at home.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked: Rural setting, Peaceful
Disliked: General access to site. (Directions) No one to check you in and give information. Lack of written information. Couldn't find drinking water as a tent was pitched right by it. Distance to toilets Poor standard of toilets, including basic privacy, unusable small female toilets.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked: Quiet secluded campsite. Fire pit/ BBQ provided per pitch, Which took the edge off the cold and mist when I stayed!
Disliked: Toilets and washing up area a bit far from the camping field but was told this is due to planning permission. They were well cleaned amd always had toilet paper.
