Liked: What a fantastic site. We stayed an extra day as it was so good making it 8 days in total. The facilities were like new and very well maintained. The "pay as you go" electric hook up was brilliant. The Owner was very welcoming and keen to promote the local area. We asked if we could use the fantastic lake to launch our model boat and it was fantastic. The location is perfect for visiting York, and we also visited Scarbrough for the day. We doubt if we have ever stayed on a more peaceful site. It was great to watch the local wildlife enjoying the location as much as us. A huge positive yes from us.

Liked: Great site peaceful and nice large pitches with water point and electric at the pitch. Electric is pay meter £1 and £2 coins only. Shower and toilet facilities are excellent clean and spacious very impressed. The whole site gets bathed in sunlight and so peaceful for relaxing. Its about 40min walk to stamford bridge no footpaths on main rd so be carefull. Excellent base to explore York, east coast, northyork moors all in good distance. Will definitely be coming back

Liked: Brilliant, clean, fully serviced hard standing pitches. Only 10 so it is nice and quiet. Jimmy the owner came to see us on arrival and is a very nice man. The toilet facilities are spotless and heated, clean and because it is adult only it stayed clean. Electric is metered. Stamford Bridge is a small drive away with a few eateries and a Coop for supplies. We enjoyed our 5 nights and could possibly be back.

Liked: Excellent shower block and large fully serviced pitches. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Handy for visits to York and Yorkshire
Disliked: Nothing apart from having to give this site five stars. Really want to keep it our little secret so we can return more often

Fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site
Liked: Everything about this site is first class, the entrance, security, spacious layout, room for large units. The facilities are new this season and hotel quality, always warm with underfloor heating, clean and showers without push buttons! Each pitch has fresh water, grey waste and metered electric by £1 or £2 coins. The owner came round and visited everyone on site to ensure everything was to their satisfaction each day.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel caravan site
Liked: This is a site which is intentionally quiet and provides a basic level of facilities such as Elsan point, gravel pitches, and a shower block. That said, there is nothing basic about these! They are superb, especially the shower block. Also a really lovely touch is that you have your own water supply and grey waste drain on each pitch so no lugging heavy water containers about.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike really. It is just off a main road so you can hear some road noise but this doesnt stop it being a lovely peaceful place to stay. We will definitely stay again.
