Off for a holiday on the Costa del Sol? Ditch the hotel and pick a pitch at the peaceful, welcoming Málaga Monte Parc instead. On the outskirts of Alhaurín de la Torre, it is half an hour's drive away from the centre of Málaga. Málaga Monte Parc has a reception, bar and a caféteria selling snacks such as pizzas, pies, pasties and freshly-made baguettes and croissants. For drinks, it has the likes of barrelled lager, bitter, dry stout, wine, gin, coffee, tea and soft drinks. The on-site supermarket also sells essentials such as milk, bread, pasta, sugar, cereals, biscuits and personal hygiene items. Don't forget about the swimming pool either, which has some stunning views. More peaceful times are available – just pick your spot for time gazing out at Los Jarapalos and Guadalhorce valley. Just 500 metres from the gates of the site, there is a handy bus service which will get you to the centre of Málaga within 40 to 50 minutes or Alhaurín De La Torre and Alhaurin el Grande within 15 minutes. Both local towns are a five-minute drive away. The nearest beach, La Carihuela, is 20 minutes' drive away. Tee off at the local golf club or go clay pigeon shooting at Club de Tiro Jarapalo, which are both within a couple of kilometres of the site. There is a zipwire and disc golf, archery or horse-riding activities at Sunview Park, 15 minutes' drive away. Amenities include roomy pitches with electric and water hook-ups, as well as ladies' and gents' bright and separate shower blocks with hot water, changing space, mirrors and a large disabled-access space in each. The pool has a disabled lift, plenty of umbrellas and sun loungers, and toilet facilities.

  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/04 and 01/11 (subject to weather conditions).
  • The grocery shop is open between 01/01 and 31/12.
  • Bookings must not be for more than 180 consecutive nights.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Reception is unmanned after 9 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
  • The bar is open between 01/01 and 31/12.
  • Minimum spacing of 1 metres between pitches.
  • This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
  • No charcoal barbecues allowed.
  • There are no bins onsite: all rubbish will need to be taken home with you.
  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
  • The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.
  • The pool is open daily from 10am to 9pm, and until 7pm (subject to change) during the winter months.

Disliked: Manque de pression d’eau aux sanitaires, souvent l’eau ne coule plus du tout ! Compliqué d’avoir de l’eau chaud. pas d’eau chaude à la vaisselle, manque de poubelles à la vaisselle et aux sanitaires.

Disliked: Les sanitaires sont à revoir complètement. Manque d’eau, l’eau chaude est en option. Les installations sont détériorées et non réparées. Pas d’eau chose pour la vaisselle.

From the manager: Bonjour. Je suis surpris que vous n'ayez pas porté ces problèmes à notre attention lorsque vous utilisiez les installations du camping. Vous avez prolongé votre séjour d'une nuit et ne nous avez fait part d'aucune de vos inquiétudes à ce moment-là. En ce qui concerne l'eau, nous venons de la vérifier et elle semble être chaude, cependant, nous contacterons notre plombier pour vérifier les écumoires. En ce qui concerne les poubelles dans la zone de vaisselle de la cuisine, nous ne les fournissons pas car nous encourageons les clients à emporter leur recyclage et nous constatons que les gens ne recyclent pas lorsque des poubelles y sont placées. En tant qu'entreprise, nous pensons que nous avons tous la responsabilité de recycler et il y a des poubelles de recyclage à l'extérieur des portes du camping. En ce qui concerne l'eau chaude dans la cuisine, ce problème est en cours de résolution.

Liked: Kleine, rustige camping in de bergen/natuur en toch maar op 25 min fiets afstand van de zee in Torremolinos. Super vriendelijke en behulpzaam koppel aan de receptie. Mooie staan plaatsen.

Disliked: Wasmachine en droogkast waren vuil.

Liked: very quiet, chilled-out site. very clean facilities. nearest town was 3km away which has everything that you are likely to want/need.

Disliked: trying to find is very difficult. post code doesn't exist. local police didn't know where it was!!!!!

Disliked: Ich hatte für 3 Tage gebucht, Preis war ok. Wegen eines Reparatur am Wohnmobil wollte ich einen Tag verlängern.Der Preis sollte 35€ sein, wir fuhren sofort weiter. Der Herr am Empfangsservice war nur kommunikativ bereit zu helfen wenn er dafür 5€ bekam. Das stand auch auf einem Schreiben angeschlagen.Er sollte mir helfen eine Werkstatt von Carglas zu kontaktieren, es war auch noch erfolglos. Die Dame war nicht verhandlungsbereit wegen den Kosten für den Verlängerungstag. Ich habe so ein Verhalten niemals erlebt! Die Campinganlage ist an sich schön aber vernachlässigt. Die Sanitäranlagen sind teilweise defekt: Fließen kaputt, Armaturen fehlen oder es läuft kein Wasser an den Waschbecken, Türknaufe fehlen, Verriegelungen Defekt. Toiletten undicht, laufen aus. Das putzen der Sanitäranlagen funktioniert tadellos. Ich habe auch kein Personal gesehen , was etwas repariert. Kein WLAN Also nur noch ACSI-Plätze

From the manager: This gentleman has not been very honest about what happened. He booked through pitchup for 3 nights and got a discount. As a reception we are always helful to our clients but when someone wants a translator to phone a company and negotiate for them then there will be a charge as this is not in our remit. This has highlighted an issue and that is when a person who is on site want to stay an extra night they will be charged a 1 night fee - which has not been discounted because discounts are given the more nights you book. I offered this gentleman a reduction on the one night for a large plot from 35€ to 30€ and he said that he wanted it for 22€. This was not acceptable. I believe that he was treated very fairly by myself and staff but obviously he can say what he likes in a review. I can only respond with the truth.

To get from Malaga Centro to Malaga Monte and back, take the M-132 bus. The nearest bus stop to the site is ‘Venta Morales’, 500 metres from the entrance. The journey should take 50 minutes depending upon how many stops the bus makes.

Local attractions

To Málaga first, of course… Málaga Monte Parc's local town of Alhaurín de la Torre has regular buses and trains making the 26-kilometre journey to Málaga and its 15 beaches, nightlife, parks and 28 museums… and did you know that Málaga is one of the very oldest cities in all the world? Tis, so peel yourself off the beach and go and see what's what historywise too. Monte Parc's two local towns are within easy driving distance: Alhaurín de la Torre is five minutes away and Alhaurín el Grande under 10; both are packed with shops, bars and nightclubs along their ancient streets. If you want a beach day a bit closer to home than Málaga, try the big town of Torremolinos, also full of places to eat, drink and be most merry indeed. The site team also recommends the shopping, food, amusement arcades, bowling alley and go-karting of the Plaza Major; from here, get the train to Málaga or straight to Málaga airport. Away from the glitz, the Alhaurín de la Torre area is well known for its cycling trails, whether you want to hurl down slopes on a mountain bike or pedal along in a more leisurely way taking in the scenery of the Spanish countryside. Several cycle trails start just outside the site and there are bike shops in town to rent you your wheels.
