Between Provence and the Côte d'Azur, La Foux is set in a pine forest with canoeing, cycling, mountain biking and hiking all available close by. On site, a wide range of activities is arranged for guests by the friendly team, such as crafts and games for kids and water gym, zumba, karaoke, lotto and theme nights for adults. For getting active (or taking things down a notch) under your own steam, the site also has a pool, basketball and volleyball courts, a miniature golf course, ping pong tables and a pétanque court where regular tournaments are organised. Liked What is not to like in the middle of a wine making region. Tasting and chat excellent. Site as was explained on grass under trees but very quiet and rural. Toilet block very clean and tidy and site well kept.

Liked Lovely site! Very big pitches and you cna park your car with your tent.

Great pool area and we had fun playing waterpolo.

Good location only half an hour away from a clear beacha and aqualand waterpark

Plenty of toilets and showers

Because we picked a further pitch wifi couldnt be reached but that was expected.

We would stay here again

Disliked The only real thing for us was that the toilets had no toilet seats and they just didnt look the best

Disliked Manque petite supérette, car le bar restaurant ouvre pas de bonne heure. La pataugeoire froid pour des bébés et beaucoup trop d eaux ( trop profondes) ayant un bébé me pouvent pas l asseoir même à 1 ans trop d eau

Liked Pool was actually nice. Food served lovely but you must book table in advance we had no clue as they do not speak English to you even tho there is a sign saying we speak English. They refuse to do so.

Disliked Booking in took so long.
Mini golf is a shambles
Although pool was nice you have to wear speedos or trunks (perverts). Again they do not speak English. Communication is so hard with them. They then go on to use the pool for various things that you cannot join in with and again all in French.

No structure to pitching up. Its a free for all no one has a clue and will not help.

They had an evening there with a load of young girls all dressed up ( tarted up) almost as if they were selling them off. Such a seedy and shady place. Had a real bad feeling about this.

No information given regarding WiFi or anything else. Just handed a paper map.

Basically if your not French your not welcome make of this as you wish.

Liked Sympa camping pour passer des vacances relax sans trop de stress...piscine très propre, animations tous les soirs. Restaurant très bon et pas trop cher...terrain de pétanque à l'entrée du camping parfait pour passer des moments avec les amis.

Disliked Les emplacements pas assez précis à l'arrivée, les marquages aux sol ne sont oas évidemment à trouver, mais avec les anciens clients du camping ça paraît plus vite facile...

Liked Eine wunderschöne saubere Anlage in einer tollen Umgebung. Personal sehr nett.der Pool mit diesem Ausblick unbezahlbar und das Essen ist lecker.es gibt hier tolle Freizeitaktivitäten.

Disliked Leider war es überbucht und wir mussten nicht nur 1x sondern 2x den stellplatz wechseln. Das war sehr schade.

Disliked Es ist kaum möglich mit einem Wohnwagen die Kurven zu fahren, um überhaupt auf den Platz zu kommen. Man kann sich einen Stellplatz auf der Wiese mit hohem Gras aussuchen und wenn man Glück hat findet man eine Stelle, die groß genug ist für einen Wohnwagen, weil alle kreuz und quer stehen. Das Reinigubgspersonal ist wirklich unfreundlich, wäre ich aber auch an ihrer Stelle, weil kaum einer dort weiß wie man eine Toilettenbürste benutzt oder ein Spülbecken sauber macht. Zum Glücn für sie, dass sie nur einmal morgens kommen muss, also war es sinnvoll nur morgens die Sanitäranlagen zu nutzen, gleich um 6Uhr. Sogar meine Kinder haben sich vor den Toiletten geekelt. Neben dem Schild an der Rezeption "we speak english" sitzt eine Dame, die von der Sprache noch nie etwas gehört hat und einfach weiter auf französisch redet, obwohl man ihr mitteilt, dass man nichts versteht. Der Kracher war aber der Pool. Am ersten Tag war alles normal, am zweiten Tag durfte mein Mann den Pool nicht mehr betreten, weil er eine Badeshort (wie am Tag zuvor auch) anhatte und am dritten Tag wurden meine 3 Kinder des Pooles verwiesen, weil dem jungen Mann die Badekleidung meiner Kinder nicht gefiel. Die gleiche Badekleidung, die an den Tagen zuvor kein Problem war. Wir könnten Badeshorts dort kaufen, wurde uns gesagt. Es ging nicht nur uns so, unwillkürlich wurden einige mit UV Shirts und Shorts des Pooles verwiesen. Dann sind wir abgereist, was sollen wir auf einem dreckigen Platz, an dem drei Kinder weinend vorm Zaun auf den Pool blicken dürfen.

Local attractions

The pine forest setting of Camping Caravaning La Foux means you'll have plenty to do during your stay if you want to ditch the car and stick around close to base. If you're up for exploring, several top days out among coast, caverns and more are within about 45 minutes' drive. The well-known seaside and surfing town of Fréjus is about 25 kilometres from the site, joining up with neighbour Saint-Raphaël. Dating back to Roman times (one J Caesar roamed here and nephew Augustus used the town as a base in his spat with M Antony), it has piles of old sights to see, such as the amphitheatre, aqueduct and theatre, the old Roman gate and the square of Agricola. Also along the coast, have a day in swish Saint-Tropez, to see its central square and cafés including the famed Café des Arts or Le Café, where bright sparks have met to swap ideas for decades. There's also – but of course – Cannes, with its celeb spotting and luxury yachts, and Monaco, the most densely populated country in the world with opera house, Oceanographic Museum and the world-famed Grand Prix. Inland, an absolute must is the river canyon of the Gorges du Verdon, a simply spectacular sight that's oft called Europe's Grand Canyon. Rock climbing, caneoing and kayaking are all top picks here, or just drive around the gorge's rim, with frequent stops – but of course – to take pics along the way.
