Only 300 metres from the Mousterlin coast and near the old and highly comely Cornouaille city of Quimper: have a fab Finistère time at Camping Penhoat Coté Plage. This is a splendid site for group bookings, whether for family reunions or just getting away with mates, and all sorts of activities are available very near by to suit all sorts of holiday tastes: excursions to the local hiking trails as well as horse riding, cycling and fishing by shore or boat are all organised by the site staff. Bike and kayak hire are available too. Had a hard day hiking, pedalling or paddling around the area? Head back to the site for a soothing beauty treatment and then stroll leisurely over to the Camping Penhoat Coté Plage restaurant for evening meals of seafood platters and local produce (and cocktails), along with live evening entertainment.

Liked Friendly, hard-working and helpful staff, proximity to beach, relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. Very good restaurant, excellent selection of pizza! Very clean and well-appointed toilet and washing block. 5 minute walk to the sea. Local market on Tuesday, jazz concert on Thursday evenings.

Disliked Pitches a bit close together.

Liked Absolutely loved this campsite, it's peaceful, the owners are lovely, really welcoming, helpful and kind. The site is beautiful, really well looked after, there is a new shower and toilet block, everything is spotlessly clean and tidy. The location is amazing, a short walk to a beautiful beach (or a choice of beautiful beaches) lovely cycle/running/walking trails from the campsite entrance. Order your bread for the following morning. It really is lovely. We booked for three nights and have kept adding additional nights, it's that nice! The first photo on pitch up doesn't really do the site justice! Loved this place!

Liked Es war einmalig, ein richtig toller Platz, die saubersten Sanitäranlagen die wir bisher hatten, Bewirtung vor Ort top, Konzerte vor Ort, viel Spielsachen für Kinder vorhanden, Fahrradverleih möglich, sehr sehr sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende (junge Dame, mit Brille) die beste, 1000 Dank für alles!!! Zu Fuß schnell am Strand! Spielplatz und Hüpfburg vorhanden, Boules Platz super!!!

Liked Great location easy access to beach with paddle boards etc. Lovely clean and well maintained site excellent new shower facilities. Very friendly staff. The regular campers were also very friendly and welcoming. Good wifi connection. Level pitches

One of Brittany's most-visited attractions is Quimper, about half an hour's drive away and the capital of the historic region of Cornouaille (yes, this is cider land). Strolling through its medieval streets and among its old buildings should be the first items on a day trip agenda; recommended stops after that include a look at the Cathedral of Saint Corentin and its surrounding areas, and a visit to one of the many workshops open to visitors and specialising in the city's traditional earthenware. Also about half an hour away, Concarneau is a fortified town surrounded by medieval bulwarks and full of cobbled streets: highlights here include the fishing museum and the fishing and yacht harbour.
