Alpaca Area - Willow bell tent (two person)
Liked: We stayed in the alpaca enclosure which was amazing! Having alpacas walk up for a stroke while cooking breakfast was an amazing experience. We were right by the river which was beautiful. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a good stay. We also had afternoon tea in the campsite owned pub by the river which was really nice too. There was alpaca island to explore and the woodland up on the hill were the first floor pitches for a wild camping vibe where. Overall a beautiful campsite with lovely owners and we would definitely consider going again!
Disliked: We struggled to find things we didn't like. There's no showers but this was advertised beforehand so there's no surprises and we were fine for a weekend. The only WiFi available was in the pub and no signal on the campsite, however not the owners fault and we enjoyed ignoring our phones for the weekend.

Alpaca Area - Oak bell tent (four person)
Liked: We stayed in the Oak bell tent in the alpaca field which was great! The alpacas were friendly and very cute and thankfully weren't interested in our food. The facilities were great and Caroline and Richard made us feel very welcome. The pub had lots of lovely features with a good selection of food and drinks and board games! The location was great as it was very quiet and tranquil, and only a 20 minute drive to Bala. Overall a really lovely stay! Just a heads up, as the river runs through the campsite, there are midges around for those who are adverse to their nibbles.

Alpaca Area - Ash bell tent (four person)
Liked: Wow, what a lovely place this was! Great little (almost off grid) site with a cute little pub, nice food and drinks and a great atmosphere. Child friendly and the pool table kept our older child entertained, he even made some little friends. We stayed in the Ash bell tent in the alpaca paddock - highly recommend. Our 6 and 3 year old loved it so much and really enjoyed interacting with the gorgeous alpacas, as did we! The tent was spacious and the beds were made up ready which was ideal given that we stayed with young children as it saved a lot of messing about. Can't fault the location - felt like a real adventure and was so peaceful in the most perfect surroundings. The river was perfect for paddling in and in the warmer months great for a swim. Lots of beautiful woodland and far enough from busy roads so was quiet and peaceful. Our son described the site as "paradise". The staff were really lovely and made our stay extra special. Great hospitality and really friendly. They told us about the alpacas, other local wildlife and always made a fuss of the kids which they enjoyed. We've already booked to stay again as we loved it so much! Thank you for a fantastic little break away!
Disliked: Compost toilet didn't really bother me and the kids and I loved reading about the reasons why it's more eco friendly but my husband wasn't keen!
