  • Peaceful and green Mid Wales site on the banks of the Dyfi river
  • Machynlleth 15 minutes' drive; half an hour to the coast
  • Easy access from the A470; pub, shop and café 10 minutes' walk
Countryside views and convenient access all in one location? Parc Bryndyfi makes a fantastic base for a Mid Wales break – this lush green oasis of a site is a proper rural place to stay, surrounded by trees and with the Dyfi river running down one side. The convenient access comes in the form of the A470, one of the main roads running through this part of the world. It’s just outside the site, making your ins and outs nice and simple and making it easy to get out for day trips to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park or over to the coast. For even more on the convenience front, the village of Cemmaes is about 10 minutes’ walk away, with a traditional pub (serving food as well as drinks) and an award-winning village shop/café. For more shopping and eating, head to Machynlleth, 15 minutes’ drive away. The setup at this site is fairly simple, but guests have access to smart bathroom facilities and an indoor washing-up/kitchen area. Dogs are welcome, and there’s plenty of space for them and the kids to have a good run about.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The caravan site was lovely the site Manger Chris was welcoming and very helpful the pitches were very level and set up well with water and waste. The toilets and site were spotless and well looked after. Added bonus that the site was on the Mach loop and got to see some amazing planes flying past. Would definitely recommend this site and will definitely be returning in the future.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Site was clean and quiet. Shower block has recently been refurbed and was really nice with 4 shower/toilet rooms. There was also an additional accessible room. Washing up area was also in the block with two sinks. All was kept spotlessly clean. Pitches were nicely spaced and the grounds looked well maintained.
A big plus for me was the low flying aircraft.
Chris the warden greeted us on arrival and was visible around the site on and off throughout the day. He was very friendly and helpful.

Electric grass pitch

Liked I was particularly impressed by the friendly, professional staff and the spotless facilities. The toilets and showers were consistently clean and well maintained throughout our stay!

Disliked The site was quite dark when going to the toilet at the night time, would of been nice to see some solar lights on the floor leading towards the amenities area. Although there were some lights lighting up the electric and water points on the serviced pitches.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Warm welcome from site manage, Chris. He’ll tell you everything you need to know and is on hand if needed. This was our 2nd stay here & we’ll be back again, i expect. Flat pitch - we opted for hard standing with EHU & water - surrounded by hills with kites flying overhead. Spotlessly clean facilities - you get a toilet, wash basin & shower in each cubicle (2 men’s, 2 women’s) plus hanging hooks & a stool, with plenty of room to not get your clothes wet and to dry off & dress comfortably, just like home. Indoor wash-up room too & warm when the temperature drops outside. Lovely friendly atmosphere (early August) busy with families of all ages playing games & making friends. The site runs adjacent to the road so you hear traffic but the bank of wild vegetation in between seems to absorb the sound & it didn’t bother us at all. The short walk to the village is do-able with great care but I wouldn’t want to do it with children as it’s a fast road with narrow or no verges. Delightful walks from there. Great little shop that also serves coffee & cake (limited opening times) & friendly pub with a cracking Sunday roast.

Disliked Being school summer hols there’s queueing in the morning, so take your showers later in the day if possible so folks don’t have to stand waiting with legs crossed when they’ve just got up! (This is NOT actually a dislike of the site, more a request to our fellow campers!)
