Liked: Place was well kept, clean toilets and staff were lovely.
Disliked: Tent area Is very busy and not much space between spots. Very noisy in the morning with wildlife and being camped right beside crying kids and various snoring nearby not my favourite campsite experience. I know this is bad luck and not really the sites fault but just my advice for anyone else looking for good rest this isn't the place.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Very good facilities, much improved since we were last here. A lot of investment and hard work undertaken.
Disliked: Hard standing Motorhome pitches have no path to main access roads, consequently, despite having a hard standing pitch you have to walk over grass to get to the facilities block. And then again to get back to your pitch. So the wet mown grass comes back into your Van. Which is exactly what you don’t want and why you Booked a hard standing pitch in the first place. More work still to do here. Otherwise, well done!

Electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked: Pitch size is excellent. Booked an XL for a 7x5 tent, good location on site with plenty of space for tent, car and outside seating. Good use of hedging to create smaller/private areas which would be great if booking for more than one tent in a group. Observed numerous hard standing pitches for motor homes and caravans making levelling up a lot easier. Very clean facilities - powerful, hot showers with 2 full bathrooms for disabled visitors, with plenty of space for carers if needed. Laundry room and well equipped kitchen area with microwave, toaster etc for those travelling light. Nice touches such as washing up liquid available by the outdoor dishes sinks. Wardens welcoming and helpful, available for recommendations on local eateries and public transport options. Site is, just, within walking distance of direct train into Edinburgh (2 stops, £4.90 pp return) although uphill on the way back! Limited parking at the station but no charge. So is ideally situated if like us your purpose for staying is to see the sites in Edinburgh. WiFi free and good signal throughout our visit.
Disliked: The camp shop is very small and not particularly well stocked, although we stayed low season (May) which may have impacted. Products seemed higher end ie local ice cream, with prices to match £2.50 for small white sliced bread. No obvious local shop within walking distance so need to ensure food is brought with you.
