Liked: The setting is truly beautiful. Probably unsurpassable. Other than repeating saying it beautiful can’t add any more
Disliked: As elsewhere in Ireland the recycling of waste doesn’t appear straightforward. Instead rather chaotic

Liked: Unbelievable views of Brandon Bay and Mountains . Late check in easy as the site is owned by the pub. Friendly staff and the pub and its restaurant on your doorstep. Birdlife. The facilities are limited and a bit tired, but really adds to the authenticity of the place. The following night we were at a site voted ‘best in…’ this, that and the other, and in our view O’connors, for location and experience, beats it hands down !

Liked: The pub onsite and how close it was to the Conor Pass
Disliked: No one there to check us in. Our electric went on the first night, we called to the pub who called down to tell us it was our caravan not their electric. The weather was very bad and we left as the site was quite exposed. When we got to the next campsite the caravan electric worked perfectly.

Liked: Beautiful views over the water with the mountains behind. Fantastic value, friendly owner, flat large site, quiet and peaceful location surrounded by nature, great base for climbing brandon mountain, and hot showers.
Disliked: There are not that many toilets but was not a problem for us as it was not busy.
There is no kitchen but at the wonderful price of the campsite, it is great value for money.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (family)
Liked: Quiet, good fishing area (when tide is in). Everyone seemed very friendly, nobody was there and we had the pitch to ourselves. Campfires allowed which was a plus for us.
Disliked: Very open, feels like you’re in somebody’s back garden.
Lack of communication from staff, not sure where toilets were ect.
Open gates (dogs came in and stole our food off our barbecue)
