What customers say
This small, peaceful orchard campsite is praised for its well-laid-out pitches, cleanliness, and excellent, hot shower facilities. Guests appreciate the quiet location, convenient access to Clevedon and coastal walks, and the friendly, helpful hosts. While most find the eco-friendly compost toilets effective, some mention the need for improved signage and a lack of certain waste disposal facilities. Minor issues like occasional aeroplane noise and the initial appearance of the farm entrance are noted, but overall, guests highly recommend and plan to return.

Liked The Orchard site itself. So peaceful and clean. Compost toilets that are managed perfectly and are never left for long periods before being cleaned and retopped up. Plenty of space around the Campervan to sit and just listen to the birds. Overall my come back to site.

Excellent small and pretty site.
Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Spacious pitches between the apple trees. Lovely clean facilities including the compost toilet. We were the only ones on the site so we had everything to ourselves - very special! The coast path (walking distance) and Clevedon are very close. Loved the green sustainable nature of the site.
Disliked Nothing - this is one of the best sites we have stayed on.

From the manager: Hi Elizabeth
Thank you for leaving a lovely review of our site, it's so good to hear how much you liked being here, the added bonus of the orchard to yourself was certainly an extra perk! :) its always lovely to hear from campers who are aligned with our eco conscious facilities, some of which do create a lot of extra work for us but are worth the effort. I see from your photos that you were able to enjoy a lovely sunset in the orchard, you must come back in the summer when the weather is warmer and take a stroll along the sea wall at sun down!
We really hope to be able to welcome you back to the farm!
We absolutely loved the site! …
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked We absolutely loved the site! Weather was beautiful and first evening and night was glorious. Unfortunately we had a party with 4 tents and 8 very young children who made a lot of noise and pitched their tents all close together on one pitch. Screaming babies during the night and up at 6 am the next morning running around, riding bikes and playing ‘cricket’ right outside our van 😳
I think the sign says no noise until 7.30 am but this should be made a bit later for non children visitors.
maybe if there are camping parties with 15 people (including kids) and 4 tents, other campers should be made aware? The owner was so lovely and we moved pitch to another further away so the third evening and night were much better.
The facilities are fantastic! Showers were sooooo good! And you don’t pay extra for fire pits and wood which is so rare!
We will definitely go back as it is a beautiful part of the country to visit! We might check that big groups aren’t there at same time though!
Disliked Nothing apart from the sleepless night!

From the manager: Hi Chris
Thanks for your review, we are glad that you loved our site and that you appreciated us moving you to a quieter area when the group were causing you upset.
The 7.30am rule is a Greener Camping Club rule which must be adhered to as part of our licensing agreement so can't be changed I'm afraid.
The other campers had booked 4 pitches so were able to pitch up at will between the 4 areas, due to the size of our site they become the majority. In our experience children are understandably very excitable when camping, especially when they are with their friends and whilst we are sorry that this negatively affected you it seems they didn't break any rules with the exception of the 6am cricket and for this we can only apologise.
We really do want to make everyone that comes here feel welcome and with that in mind can say that for the most part mid week is quieter with less children.
By all means double check in with us next time you are looking to stay and we can reassure you as to the other bookings.
We would love to welcome you back :)
Excellent site and kept very clean and tidy

Liked Pitches are very spacious. Site facilities weee cleaned every day. Supply of wood was given to use a pit fire or use the large communal one. There are a few pit fires for quests to use located near the toilets.
Disliked There is nothing to dislike.

Idyllic small campsite in orchard, quiet, and clean.
Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Due to a booking mix-up, we had to be put on a separate "overflow" pitch to the main orchard, which the owners had mowed especially for us in preparation. The weather was dismal, so they also offered to give us shelter in their barn during the evening, and then offered to let us leave the tent up to air on the day of departure, as it was soaking wet, with collection when dry. Excellent customer service all around, they really do care about people having a great time! Compost toilets amongst cleanest facilities we've used camping, and only a short 10 min Uber ride (or 45 min walk if you prefer) to Clevedon proper, for food and drinks. The site was really quiet at night, and the setting is idyllic.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, we have stayed at Dowlais multiple times now, and always have a friendly and helpful welcome from the owners.
